Host was responsive, proactive and kind. home was easy to find. checkin went smooth. the home is close the the kalpetta city. surrounded by various trees and plants. quite neighborhood. was kind of the Mr. Ismail to make us coffee once we reach the home. the home has good wifi network , clean home. overall definitely recommend the place. will look forward to get back to Mr. Ismail's home when visiting wayanad again.

Our plan was very last minute, and we're really thankful they accepted our request so quickly. This homestay is not like the usual ones where a caretaker manages everything. Here, the service is provided by the family members themselves, which makes it feel more like home. From check-in to check-out, the instructions were clear and simple. Offering food at a homestay is an extra task, and we genuinely appreciate the effort they put in. They could have easily suggested nearby commercial hotels, but they went the extra mile to provide home-cooked meals, which made the experience so much more special. It's not about the price; it's about the warmth and hospitality. The house is beautifully built with library, and we had a great view of the plantation at the back. The area is perfect for long walks, and there's even a football turf nearby for sports lovers. A short, peaceful drive of just 5 km takes you to the nearby town, and don’t miss out on a visit to the Calicut Chips shop there!

We have a wonderful time at this house. Rooms were clean. The shower and taps in the ground floor room were not working properly. Overall it was a beautiful home. A very peaceful location. We enjoyed and felt like home. The young couple greeted us . Very nice home for a group of six persons.🐦‍⬛

During our stay in the first week of January 2025, everything was exactly as described. The host and his assistant, Vijay, were both wonderful and welcoming. The property is located 1.6 kilometers from the main road and is close to the well-known milk producer in the area. The rooms were clean, neat, and equipped with all the essentials, including toothpaste and soap. Every morning, Vijay prepared a delicious breakfast, and his friendly, humble, and helpful nature made the experience even more enjoyable. Throughout our stay, we felt well cared for, and they were attentive to our needs. Their restaurant recommendations were also spot on! We did experience a couple of minor issues with hot water and drainage in Room #2, but these were addressed promptly. I’m confident that these concerns will be permanently resolved for future guests. Overall, we had a wonderful, relaxing stay and would highly recommend this place. One friendly advice to host: Send message to host with the landmark.

The pool and the outdoor area is the highlight of this property. The pool was very clean and good size. Additional points for the pool being private, for those looking for it, this is absolutely private. The overall ambience of the outdoor area is really nice. Lot of activities outside the pool area. We stayed for a day, but it would be a lot more fun to stay more. The rooms are decent size and clean. Overall, I think this property is gold. And totally worth it. You will not be disappointed.

The property was neat, clean, and surrounded by greenery—perfect for a peaceful getaway. The caretaker was incredibly friendly, helpful, and resourceful, which made the stay even more comfortable. There was a slight delay during check-in due to some miscommunication and the incorrect location shown on the map, so I’d recommend searching for the place directly on Google Maps for smoother navigation. The pathway leading to the property is quite steep and narrow, but once you reach, the view makes it totally worth it. Overall, a lovely, well-maintained stay in a serene environment. Would definitely recommend!

Situated amidst lush greenery, this place is extremely quiet and serene. The view from the balcony is amazing and the place itself is very well maintained. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The caretaker was very helpful in giving us instructions and local recommendations. You can order food from the itself and it will be delivered. The only downside of this place is the approach to the property. It is quite steep and you have to be careful if you decide to take a car. Aside from that, the place is a must visit if your plan is to relax and have a peaceful time.

The stay was wonderful, no words can describe the love shown by the Jilshoy's family they were so sweet. They took care of us like their own family. They were so flexible to our adjustments. There were two big rooms and a hall, kitchen with two bathrooms. The place is well situated just besides of Kozhikode-kannur Highway and the banks of the River(where we can take a relaxing morning walks) and beaches are near by. Will be experiencing the authentic peaceful Kerala house stay. I can confidently say this is one of the top stays with affordable price in Kozhikode. Jilshoy's family cooks yummy authentic home made healthy Kerala food. Their payasam and fish curries are must try. Overall the experience is so great that next time whenever I visit Kozhikode, Ocen Pearl - Jilshoy's Is the go to place for me to stay.
