Cosy Galway farm hideaway

The Old Henhouse is nestled on our family farm in South County Galway. The exterior is charred timber cladding which blends discreetly to the surroundings. You have on site parking, private outdoor sitting area, a compact kitchen with gas hob, fridge. Wood burning stove to provide warmth in the cooler winter evenings. Espresso Coffee machine. Tea, coffee, essential condiments supplied. Extremely comfortable double bed, bathroom, shower/toilet. Constant hot water. Just take a deep breath & relax!

Garden cabin

Welcome to our Scandinavian timber-cladded cabin situated in a quiet rural setting only 6km from Athenry town with its medieval castle, cosy pubs, good restaurants, and shops. Athenry has rail/bus connections with Dublin, Limerick and Galway City. An ideal spot from which to plan your excursions: head west to Galway City (23km); or southwest via Kinvara (24km) to the Burren (43km); and then to the Cliffs of Moher (70km). Or, go east to Loughrea (19km) where there's safe summer lake swimming.

Beautiful timber/stone barn c200 yrs old renovated in 2015 to a high standard, set on an organically/permaculture inspired smallholding in countryside close to historic town Athenry. Featuring a large double bedroom with 4 poster bed, a sleeping loft, suitable for children/young adults. Fully fitted Kitchen. Contemporary Shower room with Compost Toilet. In 2021 we've added a wood-fired sauna and hot/cold shower spa area available for guests on one* night of your stay, subject to arrangement.

The Lodge

Romantic Hideaway - 1850's Schoolhouse

The Old Schoolhouse was built in 1850, and has been beautifully restored. It's got a long and rich history, dating back to the Irish Famine. My dad went to school here, we lived in it as a family growing up and I wanted to share some of the history of the buildng with visitors. It's been updated with fast (150mb) fiber internet, and it's very cozy and warm. We just added a modern, private workspace outside for remote working - fast internet, private, monitors, great for Zoom calls!

It is within walking distance of Esker Monastery and woodlands and is a very peaceful space to come to. There is a double bed in the bedroom and a double sofa bed in the the living area. Children are welcome to use the trampoline and anything else in the garden.

This is a unique space, tastefully decorated, cozy and relaxing, a little haven, on a mature site, surrounded by lovely gardens. It contains a king size bed, sitting area and TV, kitchen and a bathroom/shower. A generous patio, with a table and chairs. Curraghmore Cottage

Curraghmore Cottage is a lovingly restored traditional Irish cottage, nearly 100 years old. Once a Land Commission home, it retains its original charm with stone sheds, gardens, and a timeless atmosphere. Nestled outside historic Athenry and just 20 km from Galway City, it offers the perfect mix of peaceful country living and easy access to culture, music, and coastal adventures along the Wild Atlantic Way and Cliffs of Moher.
