Lovely house - very peaceful and quiet. We had a lovely time but it’s worth noting for those new to the area that it’s about an hour drive away from Lake Windermere - something I quite hadn’t realised or appreciated beforehand!

Our stay at Dunskey Estate was perfect. The cottage is quirky, decorated in a really interesting style which felt really homely. The grounds provided beach access, great walks and fishing at the loch. A great place to stay to explore Portpatrick and surrounding area. The hosts were really responsive too. We will definitely be back to visit.

A really lovely accomodation that met our needs. Spacious caravan that easily accomodared 2 adults, 3 teenagers and 2 dogs. We felt at home there and it was really well equipped. The site where it is situated is idyllic and beautiful with lovely walks and beaches. We qould love to return for a longer stay to explore more of this beautiful piece of Scotland. Absolutely perfect! We love staying here, it has everything you need to feel immediately at home, relaxed and comfortable. The surrounding countryside is just beautiful and the views from the hot tub are what makes staying here even more special! Catherine and Ian are very attentive hosts and Catherine was very responsive to any questions we had. We love this cottage and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, private, relaxing and very special place to stay in the Lake District.

We had a fantastic time at Rockliffe, helped by sunshine all day long for a week! The hosts, Julian and Theo were very friendly and helpful, they even showed us around their beautiful garden! The bungalow is fabulous, clearly been recently renovated, with excellent facilities, cooker, washing machine, plenty of hot water etc. The beds were very comfortable. There is an outside covered area at the back of the bungalow, completely safe and ideal for leaving bikes, shoes etc. There is a large garden to use, with table for al fresco dining, and lovely lawn with garden chairs, mainly for sun bathing for us! The beach is a short walk away, and it was great to cool off after long hot days! Dave

I choose this cabin to get some studying done over a couple of days, and it was perfect for that, soo quiet and peaceful, and you actually need to sit out on the decking at night when the skies are clear and stargaze , absolutely stunning, no street lights, or any lights for that matter , feels like you are in the middle of nowhere, but a small local village and shops just 2 minutes away , would definitely book this place again

We absolutely loved our Christmas at Seaglass Cottage. The hosts were great, answered any questions, gave us detailed instructions for check-in and even put up a Christmas tree and decorations for us. We were very lucky with the weather, enjoying walks along the beach right outside, we even found some seaglass (we felt like children!). The property was very clean, the bedding smelled so fresh, the kitchen had everything you might need, very clean bathroom and handy downstairs loo. Every evening we would sit in the cosy conservatory enjoying a glass of wine, watching the sun go down, people walking along the beachpath with their dogs and then into the lounge for a real log fire. It was perfect and we can't wait to return!

For what our group wanted it was perfect not a bad word to say about the place, perfect or group weekend away in the country side just what a place!

I can highly recommend Mite Villa. The cottage is lovely; comfortable, well equipped and very tastefully decorated. The setting is idyllic - a wonderful outdoor area (although it was too wet to enjoy!) a trickling stream, sheep, a play area for younger children and the gorgeous scenery of the Lake District all around. I particularly enjoyed being able to light a log fire. We stayed with the aim of climbing Scaffell Pike and the cottage was ideally situated for that. It was about a 25 minute drive to one of the main access points for the mountain. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
