Gatecroft barn (& spa!) is a delightfully quaint little cottage in a fairly remote part of the North Pennines area. My wife and I were looking for somewhere almost off grid, from which we could walk our dog, enjoy walks together and indulge in a spot of fell running. We needed it to be not tooooo far from some kind of shops and close enough to drive if we fancied somewhere special to eat. We were also looking for somewhere with a little something else, a cherry on top. Well we found that, in spades! Garrigill is picturesque and then some. There are walks/ runs from the front door! The cottage is well equipped. The hot tub (the cherry on top!) is perfect for after the adventurous days in the great outdoors - hygiene and cleanliness of which is exemplary. The host was as helpful as you could hope for (def one of the better hosts we’ve come across!) and made some great recommendations - most of which we used and welcomed! Including a meal at Langley Castle. We’ll definitely go back… 5*

We would definitely recommend this Air BnB, it is in a very private and peaceful area and the BnB itself was very clean and tidy. Upon arrival we were met by the host, who messaged us earlier on in the day to give us clear instructions on how to get to the correct location. The host introduced himself and showed us around the Air BnB, explaining how different amenities within the BnB worked, which made for a much more comfortable stay. The host was very kind, polite and welcoming, and was very happy for us to contact him incase there was anything we may need during our stay; he was also very helpful when recommending the best way to access the city centre from the air BnB. I loved The Loft, it was just perfect. The house was beautifully decorated and had everything you could want or need, lots of lovely little touches made it really special. The view from the decking and the hot tub was spectacular and we spent many mornings and evenings just enjoying the peace and the surrounding views. I would definitely book again.

We loved our mini break at Lorraine's place. The cottage is beautifully decorated throughout and very homely, the garden feels very private, even with houses all around. Addingham is a lovely village with great pubs serving delicious food, it is also perfectly located for exploring West/North Yorkshire. Highly recommend staying here.

We had a wonderful weekend at the cottage. It is absolutely perfect and we had a lovely homely stay. Very responsive to messages and very helpful in regards to parking. Had everything we needed and couldn't have asked for more. We can't wait to come back one day. Thankyou Sally & Nick

a fantastic little place with plenty to do in the village or neighbouring towns, lots of lovely little touches made it feel really well thought through and not a "standard air BnB" at all - fresh coffee, different teas, dressing gowns, welcome drinks, and plenty of logs for the log fired hot tub which we took advantage of every night of our stay. Also one of the increasingly rare places with a host confident enough not to leave lots of "please do this don't do this" type notes which helped us feel like we were at home really quickly.

We stayed for one night at Deans place to celebrate a 40th birthday. there was 4 of us that stayed and there was lots of room. The place is gorgeous! We had a great stay and would definitely stay again. We took an Uber to the nearest high street which was approx 10 minutes, there was lots of bars and place to eat there. Dean was a great host, always replying to messages and when we realised we'd forgotten our milk he brought some over for us. Thanks for a great stay

We absolutely loved our stay at Kathryn's place. The place is exactly how you imagine it would be by looking at the description and the photos. We will definitely be going back again. Kathryn was very responsive and so helpful with whatever queries we had.

We have just spent a couple of wonderful days walking up penyghent. Moira's cottage was wonderful. Really clean and cosy and stocked with everything we needed. The walk up to pen-y-ghent starts literally right outside the doorstep which is very handy and a comfortable bed is exactly what we needed after the long walk. Thank you Mouira for your hospitality.

we had a fantastic stay here. the cottage is beautiful, the garden with pod is perfect to enjoy the local scenery. it was the best sleep I've had in months, so quiet! John was always on hand if neded and very friendly & helpful. we felt very welcome. the cottage has everything you need and more!! I especially loved the history of the house and the way if was decorated/accessorised. my daughter absolutely loved it!! she is 10 and was very sad to leave. I'm certain we will return! the pub up the road was amazing...a lovely walk for tea! food was delicious and very good value. I would highly recommend this cottage and can't wait to come back. thank you John for being a wonderful host and letting us share in the history of this magnificent building.

Great location for what we were doing. Hosts very helpful and responsive. Accommodation lovely and cosy, traditional cottage with modern features inside. Hopefully will stay again.

Absolutely perfect little get away in a lovely area. My girlfriend really liked it and wants to go again. Very cosy and private place with a little garden for the dogs. Beautiful surroundings will 100% be booking again. Very responsive host even though we got there late. Thanks again

We booked The Nest last minute and Anette was extremely attentive from the start to finish of our stay. The house was exactly as described & was immaculate. Bed was so comfortable & lots of attention to detail! Great location for exploring the local area. Pub right across the road with good pub grub , Co Op literally paces away& a fabulous foodie pub The Eskdale is a 10 min walk away. Thank you Annette we loved our stay as did our dog !

Great communication, easy to find in a beautiful part of the Dales. Kathryn and her husband were very helpful when needed and left some lovely free range eggs we enjoyed for breakfast. Beds were comfy and house cosy. Great base for exploring.

Great Stay in “Curlew” Cottage , Sarah was lovely , would recommend.

We had a really lovely stay at Curlew Cottage for my husbands 40th birthday weekend. It was a great base to explore the surrounding area as we are into our walks. The house itself was beautifully presented, spacious, very clean and had everything we needed. The setting was very peaceful with beautiful views all around. We spotted lots of wildlife which was lovely. We would highly recommend and hope to visit again in the future.

If we could give Decca Cottage 6 or more stars, we would. We have stayed in 70 Air Bnbs and this has to be in our top 5. It is in a beautiful, peaceful location, yet close to York. The cottage is very well appointed; downstairs is a large kitchen with everything you'd need, a second powder room and a very cosy loungeroom with lovely decor, views and underfloor heating. Upstairs is the bedroom and ensuite. Both were pristine; lovely linen made for a wonderful 3 nights' sleep. We had a very relaxing time at Decca Cottage, spoilt by the goodies left by Debbie. Poppleton Park and Ride is close by and so convenient to get into York. Thanks again Debbie and Kevin for making our stay so enjoyable. We would highly recommend Decca Cottage!

What a find! Amazing place to stay. Not only is it a 5 star accommodation, it's a perfect place to explore the local area and has the best back garden I've ever experienced i.e. "The Himalayan Gardens & Sculptures". The accommodation itself was warm, cosy and spotlessly clean, plenty of space for two adults and two springer spaniels. We valued the entrance with it's stone floor to rub down our wet pups when arriving back after our adventures. With plenty of logs for the burner it added to the feeling of home from home. Everything supplied in the cottage is top class quality. The outside area included an enclosed patio which many need if they have dogs with them. We were there when the gardens were closed so it was quiet and such a treat to be able to walk around not sharing it with anyone else. We will be back and have already recommended the cottage to our friends and family. Thank you Will and Sophie

Great place to stay! Easy to get to via public transport and very near to the Main Street in Haworth. A great cosy space with amazing views from the garden. We had a great time!

We loved the cottage from the moment we stepped inside. It was spotlessly clean and smelt beautiful. The large bathroom with a great shower. The beds were comfy and the whole property was light and airy. We were blessed with amazing, sunny weather so we were able to make use of the garden furniture and the washing line!

me and my partner stayed at the couples cottage, it was exactly what we where expecting. really good comfy bed, lovely on-suite bathroom, great equipped kitchen and an amazing decking area outside with a huge hot tub. even the sheep came to say hi once in a while. The views where beautiful, and hopefully we get to come visit again soon.
