This place was absolutely magical—. The location is perfect, offering the balance between city convenience and peaceful seclusion. Situated in a secure, safe neighborhood, it’s within walking distance to everything you need—a mall, a gym—yet it feels wonderfully remote and isolated. The space itself is the perfect size—thoughtfully designed, cozy, and with a cool layout that overlooks the town. It had everything I needed and never felt crowded or cramped. I especially loved waking up to the sound of birds, walking across open land, soaking in the sun, and enjoying fresh fruits and veggies. Every moment here felt like being in heaven. Henry, the host, was incredible—kind, responsive, and so helpful. And the best part? Loki, the sweetest dog on-site who will absolutely melt your heart, he made every day even more special. This is hands down the best place to stay in San Jose. Thank you, Henry!

Me and my partner really enjoyed staying at Gabriel’s place. It was clean easy to check in the car. Elevator was pretty cool and there’s tons to do in the area walking distance. We felt safe and it was a convenient place to stay right before you headed to the airport in the morning.

Daniel and his team were amazing hosts! They were incredibly kind, always helpful, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. The house is beautiful, comfortable, and had everything we could ask for. We absolutely loved our time here and will definitely come back in the future. Highly recommended!

Nos encantó el proceso de check-in porque nos dio libertad de pasear por la zona sin tener que estar a una hora exacta. La cabaña está bien equipada, y la vista al valle es espectacular. El acceso a la propiedad no es asfaltado, no se necesita vehículo 4x4 pero ojo con los automóviles muy bajos.

Wir wurden sehr herzlich und persönlich empfangen und uns wurde alles gezeigt. Auf Nachfragen hat die Gastgeberin megaschnell und sehr präzise geantwortet. Die Zimmeraufteilung sowie die wunderschöne Terrasse haben es uns angetan, außerdem haben wir in den tollen Betten super geschlafen. Wir können die Unterkunft jedem nur wärmstens empfehlen.

Alexander, Kaela, and his mom are excellent hosts. I would rate this Airbnb 6 stars if there was an option to do so. Very comfortable and clean place, steps away from one of the best localities Barrio Escalante in San Jose. The neighborhood is safe and the Airbnb is located at a silent corner. Alexander is super responsive and helpful. I definitely recommend it.

Charming, quiet home near city & nature

We stayed for about a month and the house fit our needs well.The property and neighborhood felt safe. The back garden is private. The kitchen had most things needed to make meals. We used the toaster oven because it worked better than the stove oven. There was grocery shopping and a park with workout equipment nearby. Marcela was very responsive whenever an issue arose which was much appreciated.

Location is great. Was able to park the car and walk everywhere we needed. Plenty of food and things to do nearby. Host was very responsive and instructions were very clear. Place looks like advertised. Be sure to take advantage of the jacuzzi.

Zeker een plek om naar terug te gaan: rustige plek, in de natuur, vogels, vlinders, vuurvliegjes en vriendelijke mensen. Het is eenvoudig, maar dat weet je als je daar naar toe gaat. Makkelijk en snel contact met de gastheer. Een volgende keer zou ik zeker mijn grote koffer niet mee naar beneden nemen, maar alleen de noodzakelijke dingen. Dan is de lange trap geen bezwaar.

The place was great, well equipped and great amenities. I used the rooftop coworking space every day which worked out great and had friendly people. The hosts were also very fast to respond and on top of things.

Super Aufenthalt in sicherer, sauberer Gegend! Die Wohnung war sehr sauber, modern und liegt in einer absolut sicheren und angenehmen Gegend. Besonders praktisch: Direkt im Haus befindet sich das Restaurant Pots & Bowls – absolut empfehlenswert! Alles, was ich probiert habe, war lecker, und der Spicy Passion Fruit Margarita ist ein echtes Highlight. Ein paar Tipps für zukünftige Gäste: Vom Flughafen aus lohnt sich ein Uber für ca. 11 €, anstatt ein Taxi für 25 $. Direkt in der Nähe, beim Pali Supermarkt (in der Nähe des Stadions), gibt’s eine Liberty-Filiale – dort bekommt man eine SIM-Karte für etwa 18 € für 30 Tage. Von da aus kommt man übrigens auch ganz bequem mit dem Bus in die Innenstadt von San José. Die Kommunikation mit dem Gastgeber war jederzeit einfach und unkompliziert. Insgesamt eine top Unterkunft - Highlight auch die beiden Glasscheiben im Pool durch die man vom 24. Stock auf die Straßen nach unten schauen kann. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Marion gave great instructions, was responsive and place was as advertised. The neighborhood was walkable with several good restaurants just a couple blocks away. My daughters and grand baby were there to visit family for a week and this location was close to family and was a perfect space for the three of us.

Arleen’s house was amazing, even better than the photos. The house was large and comfortable. It was well stocked and easy to feel right at home. The garden & patio were beautiful and really made the home unique. It was so private & peaceful. Good location, with easy access to anywhere. Walking distance to good restaurants & Barrio Escalante. Communication with Arleen was always smooth & easy. She was very proactive & made sure I had all the information I needed for a great trip. 100% would recommend staying here!

I can't recommend Pedro's place enough. Excellent location - easy walking distance to a wide array of bars and restaurants and minutes from downtown; everything you need in an apartment including a balcony overlooking the city, bedroom that completely shuts out the light and has an amazingly comfortable mattress (I slept like a baby); incredible building amenities including pool, yoga room, 29th floor reading and relaxation rooms; and the value for money was really amazing. One of my best airbnb experiences. Pedro was a great communicator and would often reply within minutes. Thanks Pedro!
