The Lake House: beautiful sunsets from the deck

Welcome to the Lake House!!! This cozy 500 sq ft cabin is the perfect place to experience breathtaking fall colors, with absolutely stunning views surrounding the entire private lake. Enjoy a cup of coffee on the large deck overlooking the water, watch the beautiful sunsets over the lake around the firepit, ride your bikes on the neighboring Pere Marquette trail, fish off the dock, or paddle to the other side of the lake with our kayaks. "Unplug & Play" to enjoy old-fashioned family fun. Multiple families/couples will be comfortable in spacious rooms & accommodations for up to 13 people. Located across the street from Crooked Lake, enjoy a view of the lake from our raised deck & lake access across the street. The backyard & front deck are fenced in for the safety of little ones. The rental includes the use of a paddle boat, kayaks, and bikes. Check-in at 3, check-out at 11. Off-season check-in at 10 a.m. check-out at 4 p.m.

Although there isn't much room to roam on the property itself, there is access to the Pere Marquette Rail Trail only a short drive North. The cabin is just off the highway in farm country, and is described as peaceful with a cozy interior. You may however hear some road noise if you are relaxing outside. The small town of Barryton is located a mile to the South

Relax at our peaceful cottage. Maple Street Cottage is the perfect couple’s getaway. Although our cottage sleeps 4, it’s real charm is allowing couples a cozy spot to reconnect take a relaxing soak in the hot tub & spend evenings by the fire pit. It’s a short walk to Silver Lake to use the provided tandem kayak. (Launch is about a block away) 30-35 minutes from major cities-Cadillac, Clare, Mt. pleasant - Very clean, sweet little family-owned cottage- time to unwind and reconnect.

Enjoy your morning coffee on the spacious deck overlooking Perch Lake. Spend your afternoons with your toes in the sand, kayaking, fishing or just relaxing on your own beach. Evenings bring campfires and s’mores at your private campfire pit. Now as the weather turns cool, enjoy the hiking/biking trails for your own personal color tour. Plenty of state land nearby for our guests that like to hunt. Snowmobiling, ice fishing and sledding in the wintertime. Come, relax and enjoy!

Listen to the flowing water of the Chippewa River only 100 feet from the deck and hear the bird songs of a variety of species while enjoying your morning coffee or afternoon beverages. If your lucky you may catch a glimpse of any number of different wildlife living along this stretch of river.
