Our house is located on the top of a mountain in Harlan county! Perfect family friendly home! Enjoy the beautiful morning sunrises from the couch, kitchen table or the deck! We also have plenty parking for multiple trucks and ATV trailers! Unload at the house and take a scenic route to the off road park! The fun begins as soon as you get here! Need early access? Nestled within the Daniel Boone National Forest, approximately 13 miles from the Clay County seat of Manchester, our newly built, veteran-owned, pet-friendly, rural getaway awaits you and your guests! With several amenities including a private hot tub, twin-size porch bed swing, Nintendo Switch Game System, and fire pit with seating, you’re sure to feel right at home. Enjoy the thousands of acres of nearby hunting land, ATV trails (famous Red Bird Crest Trail, 0.9 miles away) or just relaxing!

Just a few minutes from Jonesville, VA, Hwy. 58 and tourist attractions in driving distance. Your home away from home!

Welcome to The Mayor’s Retreat!

Relax with the whole family at this wonderful home! This is the former home of Mayor Burl Fee, who loved adventure tourism and welcoming visitors to our unique community. The home is located at the Bailey’s Creek entrance to Black Mountain Off-road Adventure Area, in the city limits of Evarts KY, the “Birthplace of Adventure Tourism”. You’re literally steps from the North Evarts RV Park. You can unload and ride directly to the ATV park or any of the local restaurants and convenience stores.

Maw's House Handicapped Friendly House in country

This two bedroom ranch style brick home located on a working farm will delight you with its view and open country spaces. Enjoy seeing wildlife such as deer, turkey, and squirrels on the property. This home is handicapped friendly. All entrances have a ramp, the bathroom commodes are raised, the shower in the main bath is handicapped, and there are grab bars in the necessary places. Equipment available for the handicapped are: Wheelchair, Lift Chair, Rollator, commode chair, walker.

Less than 1 mile from Portal 31, you can dive deep into the rich history of this tiny coal town. Within minutes you can drive to ATV parks, the highest point in KY, and many other mountainous adventures. Grab some coffee at the old cafe turned coffee shop, and visit the KY Coal Museum just 5 minutes away in Benham, KY. You and your family will leave here with beautiful mountain memories!

The Stonehouse

Whether you are here visiting family, or seeking adventure, you can relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. The Stonehouse is conveniently located 6 miles from the city of Harlan where you can find groceries, fast food, local restaurants, and retail stores. If you are here to enjoy the mountains, the Putney Trailhead of the Black Mountain Off-Road Adventure Area is 5 miles from The Stonehouse. Parking area will accommodate 3-4 vehicles with two spaces for trailers.

Hibernation Station (trailer parking available)

This property is located near the entrance of Kingdom Come Start Park and right beside Stepp Fitness gym. It is also near local golf courses, Little Shepherd Trail, and the towns of Benham and Lynch. The Black Mountain ATV Park is only 15 miles away. The property has a master bedroom with a king bed, a second bedroom with a queen bed, and a 3rd bedroom with 2 twin beds. The master has an onsuite. It offers a washer and dryer, a full kitchen, and 2 water heaters to ensure hot showers.
