Our modern apartment is situated in the picturesque village of Portroe, overlooking the majestic river Shannon and backed by the Arra mountains. It is centrally located to restaurants, pubs and shops. Portroe is situated 11 km from Nenagh and Killaloe and 68km from Shannon Airport and adjacent to The M7 giving access to the whole country. The area is renowned for its water activities which include fishing, boating, sailing and scuba diving.Hill walking trails and cycling are also very popular.

Wedger's Hut is located out the back of the house known as (salmon Island View Accommodation) it has its own BBQ area enjoy the outdoor atmosphere. A Double and two singles beds it is perfect for a family getaway garden away from road safe for the little ones to play. The hut has microwave toaster kettle cups plats and cutlery everything you need for your brake away, fully ensuite . A lot of attention to detail has gone into to make sure you enjoy your stay. The cottage is in the grounds of owner's home with a lovely southfacing courtyard set amidst farm and woodland, and only 50 mins drive from Shannon airport. It features a roll top bath, log burning stove and also has high speed fiber internet. The cottage has just been revamped and has high quality bed linen and towels to ensure that extra bit of luxury. Two miles from village with pub/restaurant and lough Derg famous for fishing and boating. Fresh homemade scones on arrival.

Cosy Cottage in Nenagh

Moyroe cottage is based on the outskirts of Nenagh on our dairy farm. The town centre with its main shopping street, pubs, restaurants, visitors centre and the Nenagh castle as well as the bus stop is about 25 minutes of a walking distance - 5 minutes by car. The closest supermarket is Tesco with a 5 minute drive. Several access points to the M7 are close by. There are many interesting places to visit in the vicinity. Situated 2 min from Exit 23 off the M7 Motorway on the outskirts of the village of Moneygall where the pub and shop are within walking distance. It provides a wonderful base for exploring the heart of the country while also allowing further journeys to some iconic tourist sites.
