The cottage is close to the Cumbrian Coast with St Bees’ long sandy beach and RSPB nature reserve, the historic town of Whitehaven, Muncaster Castle and Ravenglass, with its narrow gauge steam railway which travels to Boot.

The cottage is set on the shores of Wastwater and so offers stunning views of the lake and the surrounding hills. It is the perfect starting point for numerous Wainwright walks. Scafell Pike, Yewbarrow and Illgill Head can all be started from the doorstep. Very easy access to the lake for paddleboarding, kayaking and wild swimming.
