I had the pleasure of staying at Swayambhu Log House, a hidden gem that embodies the rustic charm of a Garhwali village while offering modern comforts. The spacious rooms are neat, well-maintained, and excellent value for money. What struck me most was the serene atmosphere, surrounded by forest calm yet connected to the local community. While exploring local attractions was thrilling, my favorite moments were sipping hot tea on the balcony during sunrise and sunset. The property is tastefully designed, complete with a well-stocked library. If you're seeking an offbeat, peaceful, and soulful Pahadi experience, I highly recommend Swayambhu Log House. The property is stunningly beautiful and is maintained with great attention to detail. Mr. Gorki took exceptional care of us and made us feel right at home. He provided us with all the necessary information and support about the local area. In all honesty, we didn't have to worry much about exploring the local sights because he offered us excellent guidance and assistance in every possible way. Throughout our stay, he remained in constant contact with us and provided valuable advice and information about nearby places to visit. The caretaker, Durga Didi, prepared some delectable snacks and meals for us, which we relished. Mr. Gorki was always available and willing to help us with anything we required during our stay. Overall, we had a wonderful experience with excellent accommodations, hospitality, and hosting.

The Deodar Inn, it's owner Sanchit, and care taker Deepak were fabulous! The property is just below the main road, and the walk down offers an awesome view of Chaukhamba and the surrounding mountains. There is a large open lawn in front where our dogs ran around and played with 2 other friendly doggos from the property below. It gets cold in Nov inside, and thankfully both rooms have heaters. One of the best parts was the food made by Deepak - we ate lunch, dinner and breakfast on the property itself and it was delicious, tasty food that he prepared! Our dogs even lapped everything up. The highlight of course are the views of the mountain peaks and the birds - we saw parakeets, jays and tits - that would sun themselves on the tips of the deodars that surround the property. We wish we could have spent more time as we were only there for 1 night but its great value for money and highly recommended if you have pets as the lawn in front is very useful for them to run around.

Great place to halt in Sonprayag on the way to Kedarnath. Could park my motorcycle in their porch-garage for 3 days. Though located away from the main road, host provided pick up and drop for the Yatra. Great home cooked meals. Very responsive to your demands. Both the brothers manage this place like home and treat guests like family members. Overall, it was a great experience.
