Amazing break away. Peaceful setting, stunning views. A great place to switch off and relax. Nick was a great host from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble. Definitely recommend the breakfast box.

Lovely cosy cabin in idyllic location, perfect for a weekend get away. Cabin was very clean and equipped with everything you need. Hot tub was such a nice addition and perfect to watch the sunset. Would definitely recommend and would return 😊

I ended up doing a solo trip with the dogs and I felt very safe and comfortable on my own. The cottage was clean and cosy. The large Porch is a great design to have an area for drying off coats / boots and with the hot tub. Love the field walks, it’s so nice to be able to have somewhere just a short walk from the accommodations where dogs can be let off lead. Very satisfied with this stay, would recommend to friends and family and I would definitely like to visit again one day. Thank you for a pleasant stay x

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful log cabin at Owlet hideaway . The lodge was absolutely lovely—spotlessly clean, incredibly well-kept, and felt brand new. It’s clear a lot of care has gone into making it a welcoming and comfortable space. The setting was peaceful and quiet, perfect for a relaxing break.

We booked rather last minute and Maria was very responsive and flexible. The place was pristine and very comfortable. Kitchen is very well equipped and the furnishings throughout are great! We felt very much at home! Maria was warm and welcoming and gave us good ideas for where to eat. We truly loved our stay!

We just finished a fantastic Easter weekend at Angela’s lovely home in Filey. We were two families, and the house was a perfect base for exploring Filey and the East coast. The house is beautifully finished, well equipped and spotless. It is also in a perfect location. You can easily walk to shops, restaurants, gardens and the beach. The hot tub was an added bonus which the kids loved.

We had a lovely stay at Louis’ place. It was spotless, with everything we needed. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. We would certainly recommend this as a place to stay.

Clean, comfortable, well-equipped and quiet. All the things we look for in a property. The groceries left for us were very welcome.

Lisa was brilliant from the get go! We booked the week before and she was extremely accommodating and sent us recommendations and advice on where to go. We loved the house. It was beautifully decorated and comfortable. We came mainly to see Bempton cliffs but Flamborough Head was beautiful too! The dogs had a fantastic time on Filey beach. Thank you Lisa for a lovely few days, we hope to be back!

Fantastic place to stay , Louise was welcoming and couldnt do enough for us. Nice location in the countryside and quiet.

The accommodation was spacious, clean, well appointed and easily coped with our family and the variety of ages. The outdoor area was well kept and had a large table and chairs suitable for outdoor eating and had the added attraction as a lovely suntrap. Having bathrooms on every floor was very convenient. A lovely house to use as a base when exploring the neighbouring seaside resorts and countryside.

Jackie’s cottage is in the most wonderful location with fabulous views. It is exceptionally well equipped and the welcoming cake, china cups and plates to make afternoon tea on arrival is a bonus. The nearby fully enclosed dog field is ideal for letting your dog off the lead and play. Jackie and David are very hospitable and helpful but not intrusive, they truly are dog friendly. They have considerable knowledge of the local area, providing suggestions of places to visit. Although we weren’t staying for long we enjoyed exploring Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay and Goathland.

Robin Hood‘s Bay ist ein wunderschöner Ort! Zum Strand hatten wir es mit unseren beiden Kindern nicht weit. Abends konnten sie alleine im Haus bleiben, so dass wir auch noch mal ohne sie unterwegs sein konnten (alle drei Pubs sind sehr schnell erreichbar). Das Haus ist so gemütlich und alles ist vorhanden, was man für einen gelungenen Urlaub benötigt! Der Herd ist schon etwas besonderes. 😉 . Doch wenn man den Dreh einmal raus hat, ist es kein Problem. Morgens aufzuwachen und nichts als die Möwen zu hören, ist einfach wunderbar. Wir kommen bestimmt irgendwann einmal wieder!

In short, 'it does exactly what it says on the tin': The listing very accurately conveys the style and the characteristics of the accommodation. This matched well what I was looking for in my stay, and Bob was a great host. Communication was clear and prompt. Everything during my stay was as I was expecting. Potential visitors should read the listing carefully and look at the photos so that they understand what this 'unconventional' place offers. The location is superb and extremely practical for anyone planning activities in Dalby Forest and the North York Moors more broadly. Note: remember to bring £1gbp _*coins*_ to use the shower.

Thank you for hosting us. We stayed Swallows nest for a night whilst visiting the coast. Very clean and had all the amenities you’d need. Beautiful surroundings and what a view from the patio. Great location for visiting Scarborough

We had a lovely stay here and would absolutely return and recommend. The photos don't do it justice in my opinion. It's so much better. It's Modern. Clean. High end / quality fixtures and fittings. Full proper kitchen and all the essential items. Literally a home from home. It feels homely and welcoming. Parking outside the door or just at the end of the drive. Tricky if you have a huge car but you'll get parked no bother. The added extras are amazing and the welcome items were next level than we've had anywhere else. Rebecca is responsive. Very accommodating and so lovely to deal with. Amazing host. The Bay is 5 minutes away from Filey in the car and a nice place to stay. It feels like a new build housing estate but lovely nonetheless. Tip - if you normally sleep with blackouts (we do) take an eye mask. There is a gorgeous high circular window but with no covering, you do wake early with the light coming in. Honestly stop looking for somewhere "better". You've found it.

Thanks so much - my parents really enjoyed the cottage - we were staying on a different cottage on The Bay and booked them this one. They said it was their favourite one so far (I think their 3rd visit to The Bay now). Loved the beach walks and a joy to be in Filey again.

This was our first experience with an air b&b and we were a little unsure as to what to expect. In a nutshell, we couldn’t have asked for anything more. The cottage is utterly beautiful both inside and out, it couldn’t have been any cleaner and every time we realised we needed something, there it was - they’ve genuinely thought of everything! It’s so well equipped, from cutlery, to dvds, to toys… even down to little things like plasters! It’s honestly a home from home and the only negative we have is that we had to leave! The onsite pub is nice and where several have thought it expensive, we actually thought it was reasonably priced - especially when children eat for £1 with a paying adult main! Absolutely beautiful place and we will be recommending it to anyone who will listen! Thanks so much for the wonderful memories!

A Lovely Stay at Collie Cottage, Filey We had a wonderful couple of nights at Collie Cottage with our 18-month-old and couldn’t have asked for a better base for exploring Filey. The cottage was spotless, cozy, and beautifully decorated with lots of thoughtful touches that made it feel like a home from home. The location is great—peaceful yet just a short walk to the beach. Our toddler loved having space to toddle about safely, and the cottage had everything we needed, including a travel cot and high chair which made things so much easier. We particularly appreciated the welcome pack and the clear, helpful communication from the hosts. It’s obvious a lot of care goes into making guests feel welcome. We’d happily return and would definitely recommend Collie Cottage to anyone visiting Filey, especially young families.

We spent 2 nights at the apartment. Everything was as described. The location is fantastic within a beautiful holiday village and only 5 mins walk to the amazing never ending sandy beach which is absolutely perfect for your four legged friend. Filey is only 5 mins drive with lovely shops and restaurants and bustling Scarborough only a 15 mins drive. Will definitely be back!

We had a very enjoyable short (post New Year) 3 night stay. The only problem being an issue with bedroom tv system. Amy tried to get this resolved promptly and it wasn't a real priority for us. Other than that, everything was fine. She always responded promptly to any queries and was able to allow some flexibility regarding check-in/departure times, which was appreciated.

We had a great stay at the cottage. All of the rooms are just like the photos. It was really clean and comfortable. The surrounding area is really well looked after. Just a short walk to the beach, then you can be in Filey in 40 minutes. It was really peaceful and the area offers a tennis court, swimming pool and other activities. Would definitely stay again.
