In 2020 the Edenville dam on Wixom lake failed, draining the lake & returning it to the river it was 95 years ago. This house now sits on hundreds of acres of ancient stumps & emerging forest on a dry lake bottom with a picturesque river running through it, ready for you to explore. You'll love your stay in this clean cottage with its covered patio, working fireplace & breathtaking sunset views.

Beautiful 2BR+Loft Cottage with amazing views!

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. The cottage sits at the highest point on the river, with a deck & fire pit overlooking the river providing a breath taking view from sunrise to sunset! Theres a cozy loft for sleeping, and a sun room where you can relax and read all day long. 1/2mile away you have access to 100s of miles of trails for hiking and ATVs. Within a 45 minute drive you have Houghton Lake, smaller lakes, splash pads and casinos, something for the whole family.

Quiet Getaway

Quiet vacation home on Wixom Lake. While the lake is gone at the moment, it’s still a nice get away location. Large side yard for parking or tents. A fire pit in the yard for a relaxing evening. The house has three bedrooms, including a double bunk bed in one room and a master suite & central heat/ac A recent addition of a garage, entryway and loft have changed the look of the place. Contact us about adding the garage space to your rental. All the amenities of home are available for use.

Peaceful Cottage near Rivers & State land for FUN

Relax with the whole family (8+) at this peaceful cottage. Located on a channel of Wixom Lake **there is NO LAKE currently** but there is access to Tittabawassee River for kayaking and fishing near by, as well as 1000s of acres of State land for RVs, hiking, hunting, foraging, and outdoor enjoyment. There is an RV rental nearby. This 3 bedroom cottage invites friends and fun for relaxation with a back deck, large lawn, hammock, and firepit. Located just 15 minutes from Midland and shopping.

Enjoy stunning views of Tittabawassee River! 3 bedrooms (1 king & 2 queen beds) and a set of bunk beds in the sunroom, sleeps 8. 2 full baths. Finished garage/game room, gazebo, fire pit and gas log fireplace. Close to 5 area wedding venues! Easy access off M-61 on a paved road. Currently we enjoy the natural flow of the Tittabawassee River but please note that there no good access point to get on/in the water. Restoration of the dam creating the lake is estimated to be complete in 2026.

You can visit one of the nearby rivers where you can fish, kayak, canoe or tube. If hiking is your things visit a nearby nature preserve. Home is also located near ATV and snowmobile trails and hunting preserves. When the water returns home boast 280 feet of waterfront on a canal leading out into Wixom Lake.

The whole group will enjoy easy access to everything from this centrally located place. we are 1/2 miles from downtown and walking distance to the local golf course. This historic building was once home to the city taxi service, build in 1934 and fully renovated as townhouses in 2025. We, at Village west condos, enjoyed adding this to our selection of options for travelers. nicely furnished for short or long term stays, we provide everything you need, but your cloths.

Wixom Lake Up North Retreat

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful Michigan up north getaway. Located in the middle of the woods on Wixom Lake in Beaverton, MI. ***Water to come back in 2027. This house sleeps 12 people with 3 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. Open floor plan and room for everyone to gather in one location. Private road takes you to this secluded location in the woods. Come enjoy the beautiful Michigan fall colors from mid September to early November!

It features hardwood floors, cathedral ceilings, furnished in a comfy mix of old and new, electric fireplace, new appliances, and remodeled bathroom with large walk in shower. Our home is a few blocks to downtown Clare where you will find unique local shops, eateries, and entertainment.
