The views were something else! Great hospitality, and awesome vibe. We didn't get the opportunity to meet Vinay ji directly, but he stayed in touch and provided some awesome recommendations. The caretakers were also awesome. The only thing I will note for others traveling in the winter is to let the host know to turn on the portable heater in advance. When we arrived it was quite chilly, but this is also a location that is better to visit when there are apples and cherries in the orchards, we went off season so it's understandable.

The place is really beautiful- so beautiful that the pictures don't do justice to the reality. Vinay ji is a great host, always helpful and available with suggestions. A walk through the hill forest - with it's apple, cherry and wild species was a treat for all of us. The anecdotes and stories of the history of the land, local knowledge about various plant species and it's uses - really liked that part. Food was also great and like home cooked food. Our family of 9 simply loved every bit of it. My 2 year old daughter is still clamouring to go back to Kotgarh and I am promising her that we will try to be back next year 😀

The place was just like we imagined. We visited during snowfall so it felt magical. Ravi bhiaya is such a kind caretaker. He took us for a small trek in snow, served us hot tea whenever we asked for it. The food was great as well.

We stayed here for a night. The décor of Cedar room was good and well maintained. The view from the balcony was picturesque. Wish we had got to see snow/apple trees which would have made us stay at the property the whole time. Though we did not get to meet Piyush, he was very warm and welcoming, assisted us with all our needs from suggesting us the best optimum way to cover our itinerary, helping us with the transport arrangements, etc. The location of the property is off-road and meant for those who want some solace far off from the hustle bustle of the city. All in all our experience was a good one :)

Had a great time at the place! Easily one of the best times I have had in my life. After a stressful few months, coming to this place was probably the best decision I had made in the whole year. The place was serene and heavenly. The hosts were wonderful and friendly and made sure we were having a good time while we stayed. The dogs, the horses, the food, the air, the music, the scenery, the hike, the waterfall, the rain, the stars, the clouds, the meadows, the lake, and the people -- all got together to make the experience as memorable as it could be.

Happy to visit prabhat’s place… rooms very neat and clean… food provided was very delicious and fresh… parking was easily available (in front of house only)… he is also very informative himself (told us about nearby waterfall and other places to visit)… will surely prefer staying again here.

Our recent stay was nothing short of spectacular! Traveling with my parents, wife, and child can sometimes be a logistical challenge, but this accommodation exceeded all our expectations. 1. Space: The spacious layout of the property provided ample room for our multigenerational group to spread out and relax. Whether it was enjoying a family meal together in the well-appointed dining area or unwinding in the cozy living room, there was plenty of space for everyone to feel comfortable. 2. Host: Our host, was exceptional in every way. From the moment we booked our stay, they were responsive, accommodating, and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Their local recommendations added an extra layer of enjoyment to our trip, and we felt truly welcomed throughout our stay. 3. Family-Friendly: As a family traveling with a child, we were delighted to find that the Airbnb was not only family-friendly but also catered to our specific needs.

Dogri – A Hidden Gem in Ratnari My stay at Dogri, hosted by Sanjay and Akshita, was nothing short of magical. Nestled in the picturesque village of Ratnari, this charming Airbnb offers a perfect blend of nature, comfort, and warm hospitality. The property itself is a beautiful vintage-style homestay, thoughtfully designed to reflect the traditional charm of the region while ensuring all modern comforts. The surrounding apple orchards, vegetable gardens, and lush plantations create a serene and refreshing atmosphere that makes you want to stay forever. One of the highlights of Dogri is its adorable resident animals. Their friendly dog, Beswa, was always around to greet us with wagging enthusiasm, while Khobli, the cat, gracefully roamed the property, adding to its homely feel. The sheep, Loblu, was an absolute delight to watch, and the ponds filled with ducks and fish made the entire experience feel straight out of a storybook. I can’t wait to return! Highly recommended.

This is a hidden gem run by a wonderful family. Mr. Dalip and his wife Madhu along with their children provide an amazing local Himachali experience. Their homestay is in the middle of a beautiful apple orchard surrounded by 100 year old Deodhar trees. You can go for long walks every day. Needless to say, it's a very peaceful and rejuvenating homestay. The rooms and restrooms are neat and comfortable. They cook delicious home cooked food or give you a kitchen to cook your own food. You can easily work from here because both Jio and Airtel provide good service. It's close to breathtaking locations like Jalori Pass, Raghupur Fort, Serolsar lake and 360 degree viewpoint. You can also trek to Lambri top from here. If you're coming by car, make sure you fill your tank because there is no petrol pump for 25 Kms in both directions.. The last 1.5 Km is an off road experience. It's easier if you have an SUV. And if it's your first time, it's best if you get here before sunset

Pros: 1. Sparkling clean 2. Secluded place 3. Super quiet 4. Having 2 house helps 5. Food cooked by the cook was delicious 6. Host is very responsive Cons: 1. Located far away from Chandigarh or Shimla 2. It took us 9 hours to reach this place from Chandigarh 3. Have to depend on their kitchen for food as there's nothing closeby 4. There's no dedicated drawing room in the property. They have decorated the corridor or the lobby area as the drawing room.

This is one of the best properties I have ever stayed at in Airbnb. Excellent location, impeccable interior, spic and span cleanliness. The owners, Mr and Mrs Hemant are truly a superhost. Very warm , courteous and down to earth individuals. Their in house kitchen and food was not only excellent but also very very reasonable. Their full time butler Mr Ashish, is a great chap and very helpful. The interiors of the house, and the cleanliness will give the best of those 5 star hotels a run for their money. Most importantly, they have a very decent accommodation for your driver too which is very important for long mountain drives as the driver needs a good night's sleep. What stands out is Mr and Mrs Hemant took a great care of my family! A perfect place for long and short stays alike! Keep hosting Mr and Mrs Hemant! Thank you again!

I had the perfect getaway at this mountain Airbnb! The surroundings were so peaceful no traffic, just nature. There were a few lovely hiking spots nearby, which was a nice bonus. The in-house cook made some amazing home-cooked meals that really hit the spot. Big shoutout to Dholu Bhaiya, the caretaker, who was super helpful and made our stay even more enjoyable. It was exactly the break I needed from the hustle and bustle of city life. Highly recommend if you’re looking for some quiet time in the mountains!

This is a very different place with a beautiful view and everything is just perfect. The food is delicious and the hosts are amazing and soo helping. It definitely feels like home when you stay here. The bonfire is a must experience thing u should do. Aunty special cuisines are just amazing which is taste u cant get anywhere in the mountains surely. Thanks for being such an amazing host and the perfect stay you provide.
