Die direkte Umgebung um das Havrefjell, Solholmsfjell ( Naturschutzgebiet) laden vom Frühling bis zum Herbst zu abwechslungsreichen Wanderungen mit fantastischen Aussichten ein. Dabei Blaubeeren oder Pilze zu sammeln macht besonderen Spass. Zahlreiche Seen sorgen für ein erfrischendes Vergnügen. Im Winter ermöglichen ein ausgedehntes Langlaufnetz, Schneeschuhwanderungen und Ski laufen (in Gautefall, Südnorwegens größtes Skigebiet) vielseitige, sportliche Aktivitäten.
