Take it easy at this unique & tranquil getaway. Situated in an AONB on top of the Great Doward in Symonds Yat West, this cozy stone building offers great walks and wildlife on your doorstep. Parking for 2 cars. En suite has a shower, toilet & a small sink. Great for exploring the Wye Valley, river pubs, biking, walking, or for doing absolutely nothing. River sports below at Ye Old Ferrie Inn, where the food & setting is exceptional. Sundays available for 2 night bookings. Sorry, no dogs.

Garn-y-Skirrid Cabin

Garn-y-Skirrid is an wooden cabin with wildlife friendly garden for 1 or 2 people with shower room and well equipped kitchenette. Close to the Brecon Beacons, just 3 miles from Abergavenny with outstanding views and ideal for enjoying all the outdoor opportunities: walking, cycling, wild swimming etc. £10 per night discount for single occupancy. One pet welcome but not in Feb/ March/April when we are lambing. A warm welcome is extended to all guests by the owners, Tom and Marjorie, next door.

Outside there is a large decked area with seating and a wood fired pizza oven. There is a separate fire pit area perfect for sitting around and toasting marshmallows or cooking on. The highlight has to be relaxing in the wood fired hot tub with trees all around you, bliss! Inside there's everything you'll need for a relaxing, romantic getaway!

Just 10 minutes by car from Abergavenny but a peaceful country retreat. Simple, modern log cabin with open plan sitting/kitchen/dining with double sofa bed & a double bedroom and bathroom. 50 metres behind the farmhouse, away from the road and screened by trees. There are board games, books, toys etc. Wifi available, basic CD player/radio plus CDs Garden furniture for sitting out. Homemade firepit. Farm to wander over. Animals to see. Good places to eat out. Walking in the hills.

River Wye Lodge, on "UK's most beautiful river"

Secluded romantic lodge with full height windows overlooking meadows and the Wye. Has its own private garden with access to the meadows. Wake to the sound of the river and bird song. Open plan living room contains wood burner, comfortable couch, armchair, dining table and chairs, TV, Wifi, DAB and separate shower room. Equipped with microwave and top 'Which' rated mini oven, cupboards and what's needed for cooking. Your hosts live in the two hundred year old Mill house nearby.
