We absolutely loved staying at Charles' treehouse! Everything was as described. We loved being in a place surrounded by nature and only about 15-20 from the beach, downtown, etc. It was so beautiful and peaceful, extremely well built. Just overall such a unique stay! They put such care into making it feel like a home away from home. Will definitely look into staying there again!

Great stay! The WiFi is a little iffy but ends up working! Nice and clean, and cools down quite quick.

Every single corner told me to relax and have a nice time, it is a nice place to make you forget about the world, very convenient to have store close to it and the people around were really nice definitely very happy with it

This cozy studio cottage was more than I expected. It was super clean and the living area and bathroom were larger than I thought they would be. The property was in a great area and very quiet. Jennifer is amazing and was proactive in finding out if I needed anything. She even offered to clean the place mid-stay, which is unheard of in an Airbnb. And, when I came back to the cottage on my birthday, there was a card and balloon waiting for me!! Such nice, thoughtful, and caring people. I hope to go back in the fall and stay at this wonderful place again.

I absolutely loved the location of the airbnb. It was literally right on the lake and the views at sunrise and sunset (from the King bed and trundle bed) were amazing. I took advantage of sitting outside to eat or face the water when I could and watch the ducks (and some had ducklings with them!). There ARE alligators in the swampy area on the other side of the road, and it was really cool to see them. Overall it was a great place to spend a couple of relaxing days. It is def small town feel, slow paced living, so great for relaxing. Kelly was friendly and helpful when I had questions, and the house was gorgeous and easy to access/use. 10/10 would rebook.

The view and the pier were excellent. The most relaxed me and my husband have been in a while. This is the first place we have ever stayed a second time and hopefully continue to do so, that says alot

We had a truly wonderful stay! The property was spotless, beautifully designed, and felt incredibly private and peaceful—perfect for a relaxing getaway. You can tell a lot of thought was put into the space, from the layout to all the little extra touches. We really appreciated the small amenities like hair ties, disposable toothbrushes and toothpaste, and even local event info—it made everything feel so welcoming and intentional. The location was also fantastic—convenient and easy to get around. The only two minor downsides were that the shower temperature fluctuated abruptly from hot to cold at times, and the TV options were a bit limited. But honestly, those things didn’t take away from how lovely the experience was overall. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a clean, private, and thoughtfully curated stay!

Kay is an excellent hostess and provides a very enjoyable experience. We went there to relax and to visit my home community which is in the same county in Eastern NC. Penderosa has a beautifully decorated apartment in a western theme befitting an animal rescue. The bed was comfortable, and each room had adequate space for us. We hope to go back one day!

Love this Airbnb! Im from the area and I was in town visiting. Couldn’t have asked for a more perfect space! Very unique and homey, with so many thoughtful touches! Would stay here again! Hopefully soon!
