Just 6km south from the centre of beautiful, historic York with all its major tourist attractions, and easy driving distance to Castle Howard, Fountains Abbey and National Parks. + Located next to National Cycle Routes 65/66, ideal for outdoor people.

The Stables, secluded Station House, nr Selby

The Stables, an airy modern double bedroom with en suite in a lovely converted railway station with its own entrance. Situated on the outskirts of the rural village of Drax. The house is secluded and sits within 2.5 acres surrounded by trees. You will have the benefit of a shared breakfast room with complimentary cereals, toast & pastries. There is also an outside space for you to relax in. We live on the property and between us we have 40yrs of hospitality experience. 1 of 2 rooms available

We are surrounded by hills and open countryside which fringe the unique open moors.

This quiet, spacious and comfortable room has a soft and supportive king-sized bed, made up with fresh, soft linens, a big wardrobe and a professional workspace. You will have access to the shared spaces in the rest of the house, including two bathrooms (both with showers, one with a bath), a well equipped kitchen, cosy living room with wood burner, bar area, gym and garden- shared with myself and usually other guest/ guests. Towels, toiletries, tea and coffee, will be provided.

A welcoming double room in my two bed apartment. The room is bright clean and fresh looking out on the garden. The room complete with ample storage space, a comfortable double bed topped with feather duvet and pillows for a peaceful night sleep. Access to the bathroom with a WC and shower. A 25 minute walk into city centre or if you would rather frequent buses to town or rail station set off from right outside the apartment. If have any other questions don’t hesitate to ask!
