Bridge Tender's River Lodge

Waterfront cottage sits on a bluff overlooking the NE Cape Fear River. A 400-sq.ft cottage open floor plan with all comforts. Fully equipped kitchen, queen size bed, sleep sofa detailed woodwork throughout, high ceiling, granite bar, bathroom with walk in shower, expansive covered porch with fans and spectacular riverfront views! A relaxing retreat or romantic getaway. Boat ramp next door.Bring boat, kayak, SUP, for exploring the River...Beach & Downtown 15-20min. No river access from property.

2BR/1B cottage minutes to downtown, beach

Cute, comfortable cottage just 5-minute drive to downtown Wilmington, 20-minute drive to the beach. Guests enjoy two private floors- including two bedrooms, bathroom, living room, dining room, kitchen, backyard. Pets are welcome. PLEASE NOTE the $75 pet fee. Beautiful, quiet neighborhood within walking distance to coffee shop and convenience store. Host sometimes occupies lowest level of the home which has a private entrance and no access to the guests' space. Free parking. Keypad entrance.

Bamboo Bungalow * 1 BR Suite with Private Entrance

This guest suite consists of one bedroom (King bed) and a full bath. The private entrance is located on the front porch and the space is closed off from rest of the home. Space does not include a living room or kitchen. but there is a small refrigerator, microwave, coffee-maker, comfortable sitting space, and a large porch to relax. There is also an air purifier in the room- with HEPA filtration, removing 99.9 of all particles in the air. The space is the size of an average hotel room.

Wilmington's "Jungle Room"

We would like to extend a warm Southern welcome to all of our Guests staying in Wilmington's "Jungle Room." The separate Guest room is set in a beautiful tropical garden full of interesting and fascinating plants-palms, staghorn ferns, colorful bromeliads, and many more. One of our hobbies is propagating these plants because of their beauty and overall dramatic effect. If we've done it right, you can easily imagine you are in a tropical rain forest right here in Southeastern NC!

Quiet Carriage House in Wilmington.

When staying at the Carriage House, the beach and Wilmingtons' attractions are yours for the taking. The Carriage House is located in the Princess Place Neighborhood, next to Burnt Mill Creek -a bird watchers paradise. It is 1.5 miles to Downtown Wilmington and the Riverwalk and 7 miles to the Beach. I have crafted the Carriage House from reclaimed materials. Enjoy the guest hot tub and fire table. Snowbirds and travel nomads know that Wilmington is wonderful year round!

The Bird’s Nest- Private Attic Apartment

Pet Fee: $25 Early check in/late check out: $25 Interested in "tiny home" living? The Bird's Nest is a cozy ATTIC space turned into an apartment! The ceilings range from 6 ft 5", dipping lower at the roof lines! Private entrance on the side of the home. 1 mile from the downtown riverwalk, 8 miles from Wrightsville Beach, & in the center of the inner-city/downtown area. The historic Market Street is 2 blocks over, which heads both downtown & to the beach.

PalmTreeHouse

Centrally-located on the beautiful Cape Fear Coast, PalmTreeHouse is a charming, nautically-themed mid-century garage apartment, nestled among palm trees, and a private Zen Garden, with easy access to the Wilmington Riverfront, and the beaches. As an extension of the automotive/industrially-themed PalmTreeHut downstairs apartment, you may book the PalmTreeHouse simultaneously for parties of four, or go solo on your Wilmington excursion.

The Lodge W/ Sauna 10 minutes frm downtown & beach

PARTY POLICY: The Great Escape is nestled in a very quiet neighborhood and no parties of any kind are permitted. Violations of our house rules such as excessive noise, smoking inside, or extra guests will lead to a fine of $250, cancellation of your reservation, and your immediate removal from the property. If this is not an issue, please send a request or instant book. We would love to host you!

The Lake Cottage

The Lake Cottage is located across the street from Greenfield Lake. It is a 3 minute walk to the Amphitheater and 9 minute walk to the Park Center with boat rental, playground, skakeboard park, and Pickleball Courts. There is a 4.5 paved trail that runs around the lake across the street. The Lake Cottage lies down its own private walkway and has a fairly-land feel about it.

Crestwood Cottage

The Crestwood Cottage is conveniently located between historic downtown Wilmington and Wrightsville Beach and only minutes from UNCW’s campus. This beautiful, newly constructed guest house, situated behind the main home is a private, open concept, studio style space that has all the amenities you need for a one night stay or a multiple week vacation.
