At times, it can get a little slick.

Take a break and unwind at this peaceful oasis. Trade in the city sounds for the tranquility of Abiqua Creek. You'll enjoy the newly remodeled cabin located between two favorite local swimming holes. Please note that access to the river is less than three minutes down the road to the right/left of the cabin. This home features a fantastic front porch to drink your coffee on and a large backyard! Both Silver Falls State Park and Abiqua Falls are under 20mi from this location and worth the trip.

Designed around a custom moving window wall system, it opens fully to the outdoors, bringing the mountain right into your stay for unforgettable sunrises, sunsets, and true Mt. Hood magic.

Come relax and enjoy your own personal hot tub on a private deck overlooking a garden, and a fire pit run by remote control. Inside you will have one queen size bed, heating/air conditioning, wall fireplace, high speed internet, large 8' projection screen with great surround sound system, a coffee station and a secondary covered parking area for motorcycles, are just some of the great amenities we have to offer.

The Hideout | A Modern Tiny Cabin Near Mt. Hood

The Woodlands Hideout is a small intentional semi-offgrid retreat space, featured on Dwell. It was designed and built by Further Society and created to allow guests to immerse in the beauty of the natural world, but still offer some cozy and more essential comforts. Although the footprint of the space is small, we designed the experience to be outward focussed, so it feels very expansive with the towering pine trees in view.

The Royal Scott Double Decker Bus

Our tiny home started life as a commuter bus in Manchester, England, in 1953, then did stints in San Francisco and Mt. St. Helens before finding a home as the Grilled Cheese Grill in Portland. Now it’s been reimagined as a mid century modern-inspired tiny home, with whimsical painting details from one of its former lives and fresh new handmade details that make it a cozy, inspiring stay.
