Richcrest Cabin is built for two people. Off the grid and eco-friendly. Set beside a small lake and totally private. Enjoy the company of New Zealand's beautiful birds, Tui, Fantail and an abundance of Kereru. The cabin provides a stunning peaceful private retreat to escape from the trappings of modern life. Double glazed, fully insulated, and an infinity gas heater for warmth. Situated on a traditional New Zealand sheep and beef hill country farm. Marked farm walks for you to enjoy.

With three double beds, a cozy sleep loft, WiFi, a Smart TV and black-out blinds, it’s a stay designed for adventure and relaxation after enjoying all that historic Whanganui has to offer.

"The End of the Road"

The bach is well equipped, but GUESTS MUST SUPPLY OWN LINEN (top and bottom sheets, pillow slips & towels), and CLEAN it before leaving. It is a fisherman's bach at the end of a quiet street. Lake Taupo is a 10 minute walk and the Tauranga Taupo River nearby. We have plenty of duvets and blankets. NO WIFI. If you are unable to clean the house before you leave or supply your own linen it's better if you find a motel or hotel in town. We keep the price lower by not having a cleaning fee.

Boomerang Boulder Bach Whareroa Village Lake Taupō

Built in 2023 the Boomerang Boulder Bach above the shores of Lake Taupo, at Whareroa, is styled in the architectural era of the 1950s. Wood-paneling throughout, stone interior wall, Scandinavian-styled furniture, and bespoke kitchen. A wrap-around deck shows off Lake Taupo, and the imposing Whareroa Cliffs with an enticing bath tub nestled at the base. The village has very few permanent residents and so the peace and quiet is almost deafening; birdsong or boats is often all you will hear.

Enjoy this peaceful and cosy well-located space, with access to the beautiful Virginia Lake , quaint guest residence with queen bed & ensuite. Tea and coffee station , with microwave / toaster and mini fridge, heat pump provides instant heat, Smart TV’s x2. Our cosy guest house is located next to the main dwelling by, linked by beautiful decking. We have sectioned a part of the deck off for our guests to enjoy while they are here. The guesthouse is situated well back from the road.

Tussock Ridge

Relax with the family or have a couples retreat at this beautiful place to stay. Enjoy the breathtaking views of Lake Taupo and Mount Ruapahu. Whether you have been up the mountain and want a hot soak in the spa, or in summer swimming down at our beautiful Te Hapua bay. Few friendly farm animals amongst the orchard and a private home gym. Guest house neighbouring the main house with plenty of privacy. Plenty to see and do just 50 minutes to the ski field and 30 minutes to Turangi.
