“Cosy but spacious, peaceful, very clean and full of character,” say guest reviews. This is a private cottage annex to a historic 1830s home, set in grounds surrounded by tall trees. Watch red squirrels and birds through the big window in your kitchen-diner. Come home to a hot woodstove, bath with powerful overhead shower, fluffy towels, and a lodge-style bedroom with luxurious kingsize bed. The Owl House at Gardeners Cottage (dog friendly)

The Owl House is a cosy retreat, five minutes from historic Fortingall. This former outbuilding has been lovingly renovated and commands beautiful views over the glen. At night, add some logs to the wood-burning stove, sit back, and enjoy listening to the owls hooting.
