Amazing hosts! I can’t say enough good things. Food was great. The apartment was perfect for a family 4. The kids loved the pool. We also enjoyed the feel of being snuggled in the jungle. I will say that my favorite was the drinks and conversation before/during/after dinner (and on the way into town)! Highly recommend!!

Clean room in central location, near to Parkson/Naga Mall. The host informed me before arrival that the room I booked on AirBnb was unavailable, so they booked me into another room which was an upgrade with a larger living space and bedroom. Breakfast included. Soap and tea/coffee provided in the room. The mattress was very firm so may not be to everyone’s test. Overall very happy with the service and price paid.

There is plenty to say about Jean Louis and Vinh's place. The location itself is tucked away from the main road giving you plenty of peace and quiet, despite the occasional barking dog or rowdy neighbor. The dogs of our hosts are some of friendliest and will frequently chill with you. Prepare for mosquitos if you are prone to bites. Left behind an electric racket for the next guest and Vinh always provides other mosquito repellents. Our host makes you feel like you are part of the family, occasionally providing us with fruits/veggies, local insights, and pretty much anything else you need. Any concerns or questions are addressed immediately. Although the place itself is a bit rough around the edges, the heart and soul of it is strong. Lao hospitality at its finest. We were even offered to move to a different room if desired. Pics could use a bit of updating, as the garden isn't as lively as shown, not a deal breaker for us though. You grow to love the place eventually! Khobchai 🙏

Barn Laos Hostel

The Hostel was super clean, the bed was comfy. It is in a good location, you can walk everywhere in no time and there's lots of cafes and restaurants around. There is also a bus stop near by. The breakfast was totally fine, basic but everything you need (toast, fruit, butter, jam and eggs you can fry yourself). The communal bathrooms are nice and super clean, I was just sometimes a bit uncomfortable since the stalls are in one big room and anyone could come in and then there is just a small door between you and them. Maybe the owners could install some music or something to be played in that area to relief the awkwardness of peeing in front of a stranger haha The service was really nice, the let me have breakfast before checking in and I could take a shower after checking out. They also give you a helpful map of the city. The best part by far was the cosy common area. It was really good for me to have a place outside of the bed where I could lie down somewhat private from the other guests and plan other trips or read.

여러명이 같이 간 여행이라서 아침저녁에 함께 모여 이야기할 장소가 있었으면 해서 예약한 숙소였는데, 예상한대로 넓은 거실이 있어서 이야기를 나누기가 참 좋았습니다. 조식도 매우 맛있었습니다. 물론 오성급 호텔의 부페식은 아니었지만, 아침을 많이 먹지 않는 저희에겐 딱 적절한 수준의 아침식사였습니다. 무엇보다 친절한 호스트와 스텝분들의 친절과 정성에 깊은 감명을 받았습니다. 라오스에서 내집과 같은 편안함을 느끼게 해 주셔서 감사합니다.

After traversing the length and breadth of Vietnam for 4.5 weeks, I am so pleased to say this was the most peaceful place I stayed. No traffic, no screaming kids, no karaoke, no construction- just peace. Arriving at Jungle Cottage felt like taking off a pair of tight shoes after a long hike. Chatting to Mike on the terrace, listening to the rain, drinking (complimentary) wine may well be one of the highlights of my trip. If you want to while away the hours with conversations meandering from Lao history, Hong Kong nightlife, ceramics, Cherie Booth, Winnie the Pooh, and everything in between, you’ve come to the right place. Mike is a man with the life experience of someone who’s lived 400 years, he would annihilate anyone at Trivial Pursuit Xouchiet is as open hearted as they come, and a talented cook, and lovely person The room is very comfy, and for anyone put off by sharing the house, don’t be- it’s an entirely private annex and I heard nothing from other residents Khob chai x
