Constructed in the 1920s as a work cabin for the California Conservation Corps, its initial purpose was to construct trails in the nearby Los Padres National Forest. Once the trails were finished, the cabin was relocated to its current site in 1930. It has been thoughtfully renovated to preserve its rustic heritage while providing all the contemporary comforts desired for a serene vacation.
