Spend the day kayaking, walking or cycling in the mountains, enjoying the largest spa in Portugal (20 mins), & exploring historic villages and cities, then come home to relax in a hammock in the orchard, soak up views from the bath, or chillout to vintage vinyl. We live on site, but the apartment is totally private, being the whole upper floor & with own entrance.

An ideal location for exploring the area, the independent and private bedroom is set in a rural garden of olive trees, mandarins, almonds, grapes, and figs, surrounded by nature with mountain views of Serra da Gardunha and Serra da Estrela, the highest mountain range in Portugal. Gebaseerd op een typisch engelse Scheperds Hut hebben wij deze moderne variant zelf gebouwd. Eerst voor ons zelf en nu voor jullie. Nosso Chalé está inserido numa quinta vedada, com 3 hectares, situada dentro do Parque Natural da Serra da Estrela. Sitio calmo e tranquilo onde se pode apreciar a natureza e observar a fauna local, através de passeios pelo pinhal, ou optar seguir a ribeira até sua nascente. Também pode relaxar na nossa piscina. Ideal para descansar com a família ou amigos. Aceitamos todos os animais. A quinta, o Chalé, o jardim e a piscina são para uso exclusivo dos hóspedes.

The bathroom is enclosed for added privacy :) Enjoy a 20m2 south-facing terrace all day long. A morning snack is included in the price (fresh bread, jam, butter, coffee, tea, orange juice). Stairway to the Castle

Located in the historic village of Monsanto, the Most Portuguese Village in Portugal, the house was recovered from an old stone house, creating a rustic atmosphere, with the comforts of a current home. Being in the middle of the village, we easily meet the neighbors, hear birds or continue to climb to the Castle (since the house is on the way to the Castle).No access by car (parking 200 meters away)
