Craigiehall Temple (historic property built 1759)

Make your trip to Edinburgh truly memorable with a stay at Craigiehall Temple. Built in 1759 and situated in its own grounds on a former part of the Craigiehall Estate, its Grade A listed for its stunning portico displaying the arms of the 1st Marquess of Annandale. When the sun is shining you can enjoy the private outdoor seating area. Otherwise, enjoy the fire and bask in cosiness. Our rural location on a cycle route just outside the historic market town of Biggar brings privacy, stunning views, and great walks like Coulter Fell or Tinto. We recommend bringing a car (Biggar is a 15-minute walk away), parking is provided.

There are lots of opportunities for walking, cycling, kayaking and wild swimming in the area, or if you fancy popping into the city, Edinburgh is an hour away. The Wee Crook Cafe is a short walk away, open 10 am to 4 pm for lovely breakfasts and lunches. There is a lovely shop in Broughton (6 miles) , Biggar is 12.5 miles away, Moffat is 16 miles, and Peebles is 17 miles, all with dog-friendly pubs!
