A wonderful rustic, private, off-grid get-away, perfect for couples or families who enjoy camping in a cabin, nature hikes, star-gazing, pond. If you automatic book you confirm your understanding of the following: there is NO electricity, running water, or bed. AWD vehicle useful. Surrounded by state forrest, you may encounter wildlife. We do not plow in winter, you shovel off-road park spot, and bring gear to cabin (e.g. by sled, snowshoes) Onsite: hand water pump, outhouse, woodstove, & grill.

Stay overnight in a vardo, a unique and charming bohemian-style caravan inspired by 19th century English and Irish shepherd's huts. This cozy space sleeps 2 people and includes a cooking facilities, indoor and outdoor seating and free firewood. The bath house has includes a modern composting toilet, solar shower stall and hand/dish washing station. We are located close to wineries, state parks with gorges & waterfalls, lakes, the vibrant city of Ithaca, Cornell University and Ithaca College.

As the name implies, it also offers deep shade most of the hot summer. Relax in the hammock under the pines or on the private screened porch, and enjoy the hilltop breeze. Most dogs are welcome, but please note our STRICT NO PIT BULLS OR CATS ALLOWED, NO EXCEPTIONS! policy.
