Grásteinn guesthouse, Hornahóll cottage

Á hjara veraldar bjóðum við uppá gistingu í krúttlegum heimasmíðuðum smáhýsum. Full þjónusta og umhverfisvæn stefna. Grásteinn guesthouse er staðsett á sauðfjárbúinu Holti, Þistilfirði og er gestum velkomið að taka þátt í bústörfum hjá okkur. Holt stendur hátt í landinu og er því einstakt útsýni af bæjarhlaðinu, yfir víðlendar heiðar og strandlengju Þistilfjarðar. Húsin eru 25 fm og vel útbúin, með eldhúsi, baðherbergi og sófahorni. Morgunverður er framreiddur í körfum og er innifalinn í verði.

Ásinn-Brennistaðir 4, 701 Egilsstaðir

Ásinn-Brennistaðir 4 is 90m2 house for a group of up to 7 people +crib (year 2025). The house is located in untoucted nature next to a field on Brennistaðir farm, about 20 km from Egilsstaðir in the direction to Borgarfjörður eystri. The farm is sheep farm. We live about 400 m distance from Ásinn. Fully equipped kitchen, small sitting room, spacious bathroom (washing machine and dryer), 4 bedrooms. Good looking view, cairns, bird live, streams, family-friendly environment in peaceful nature.

Litla Rósa, Skútustaðir 2a by Lake Myvatn-south

Small and cozy 20m² basement studio apartment renovated in early year 2017, the perfect base for exploring the Lake Myvatn area, with the Skútustaðir pseudo craters less than a 5 min walk from your door! Small kitchen, tiny living room, full bathroom. Access to a washer and a tumble dryer and a hot tub. Separate entrance from other guests. If you enjoy looking at stars and maybe catching a glimpse of the Northern lights while relaxing in a hot tub during the winter, this is the place for you!

Slow Travel Mývatn uses the uniqueness of the region, its culture, history and traditions to offer our guests a calm, decelerated and mindful stay. We stand for environmentally friendly and sustainable tourism in harmony with nature and the people living in the region. Þúfa is our house with soul and personality. It is located on Vogar family land, close to the lake & the village Reykjahlið. On the ground floor we live as hosts. On the first floor is the accomodation for our guests.

Báran, Studio by the sea

By the sea and scrapyard of Seyðisfjörður we offer our newly renovated studio space with a great view over the fjord, but still just a 8 min walk to the town center. It offers a king size bed and a single lounge bed with a pure icelandic wool mattress in the living area for a third person if needed. It is simple, lovely and unique. Note that we live in the other part of the house so even though the studio is private with private entrance a family lives in the other part of it.

Sænautasel gives you a opportunity to experience living as people did in the olden days in Iceland. You should therefore be aware that there is no electricity. Everybody is sleeping in “Baðstofan”, which the space over the kitchen is called in Icelandic. Breakfast and/or Dinner is available for extra charge. You need to book this in advance at least 2 days prior. If you decide to book 2 nights you should be aware that Sænautasel functions as a guided museum from 12-17 PM.

Mývatn apartments is a two-way house with two brand new luxury apartments. Each apartment has 3 rooms with a capacity of 6 people. 2 couple beds and 2 additional single beds. Moreover, in each apartment you will find two bathrooms with showers. Everything newly built in a modern but homie style. It‘s central location is optimal to get the most out of your vacation. Being surrounded by stunning icelandic nature and opportunities for outdoor activities.

We invite you to our log cottage with veranda in the middle of an unspoiled nature. From the cottage you have a magnificent view of the mountains, the horses of the farm and the vastness of the landscape. You can take short or long walks and go horseback riding in every direction without any human disturbance or traffic. A perfect place for people who want to experience nature, silence and space- and especially for those who love horses.

Surrounded by peaceful nature on the countryside of East Iceland these spacious and cozy cottages offer, for example, view over the Lagarfljot River and Dyrfjöll mountain. Each cottage has a fully equipped kitchen and a furnished terrace with BBQ. Egilsstadir town center is just 30 km away.

Our Honeymoon cottage is the perfect place for those who seek a genuine Icelandic experience with a private hot tub overlooking the fiord. The cabin is just a couple of minute drive from Seydisfyordur. You might even spot some whales while having a bbq. Don’t miss to hike and visit Vestdalur waterfalls that is a short walk from the cabin. The cabin is provided with dvds, books and vintage video games.

Ásgarður - A cozy home by the seaside

Our home is old and quite small but very cozy. It is located by the seaside in our small village with a view over the fjord; the sea and the mountains. Please note our village is a bit out of the way of the Ring Road.
