Swallow Cottage, Auldgirth - north of Dumfries.

Swallow Cottage was lovingly converted by Steve and Sarah from McMurdoston's old granary in 2014 and provides a wonderfully peaceful place to stay while exploring Dumfries and Galloway. The cottage is only 20 minutes drive from a 24-hour supermarket, a cinema and numerous eateries, but once you get here you'll feel as if you are truly in the middle of nowhere. We live just across the yard if you need us and we'll do everything we can to make your stay comfortable, relaxing and quietly memorable.

Built around 1860, The Bothy offers two comfortable double bedrooms and a bathroom with a step-free shower, all on one level with the kitchen-living area. Amenities include a wood-burning stove, Netflix-equipped TV, and a fridge-freezer with ice, ready for your G&T. Set within an acre of dog-friendly gardens and surrounded by woods and farmland, The Bothy is a perfect place to unwind. Only 5 minutes off the motorway (1.5 hr from Edinburgh,1 hr from Glasgow & 45mins from Carlisle) it's a perfect en route stopover but even better for a week! Welcome!

Welcome to our idyllic riverside cottage. Nestled in the picturesque Dumfries & Galloway countryside and set on the banks of Cairn Water. The area is rich with wildlife. Red squirrel, deer, kingfisher, woodpecker, red kite, buzzard and otter are just a few of the local visitors spotted from our garden. Stepford Station Cottage is the perfect cosy retreat for nature lovers. We welcome up to 2 well behaved dogs at no extra fee.

The Stables is a quirky conversion on what was once a strawberry picking farm. Set within 30 acres of beautiful pastoral farmland the cottage is a peaceful rural retreat. A stones throw from some of Scotland's finest unspoiled and quiet beaches and within driving distance of all of the 7stanes mounting biking trails for those looking for a little more adventure.
