IDLEWILD: A High Mountain Log Cabin 🏔

Our traditional log cabin is perfect for a long weekend getaway. Built in 1994 and located in the Pike National Forest our cabin boasts amazing views. Best suited for 4 people. 25 miles to Breckenridge, footsteps away from hiking , and short drive from world class fly fishing this cabin is suited for every outdoor adventure or simply relaxing in front of the wood burning stove or on the wrap around deck. This cabin has cell/high speed internet service, which can be hard to come by in the area.

It's the perfect basecamp for skiing (Breck 25 min. away), hiking, biking, fishing & any off-road adventure you could ask for. After a long day in the mountains, Alma Basecamp is where friends & family can kick back by the wood stove, enjoy a home cooked meal, & take in the views from every window!

Our cozy space is equipped with all you could need for a short or long stay (including laundry). We are a 5 minute walk to Historic Harrison Ave and restaurants, 1 block from the Mineral Belt Trail, 24 mins to Copper Mountain, 10 to Ski Cooper, 30 to Frisco, 45 to Vail! Beautiful views of Mt. Includes a microwave, induction plate, cookware, some dishes and utensils, Keurig coffee, new hood fan for fresh air exchange, new oak flooring in kit/bath areas. Lots of natural light with new top-down/bottom up light filtering blinds, and light blocking drapes for sleeping in. Cozy private thermostat, quiet room and neighborhood.

Carner’s Cabin - backcountry hut

A secluded cabin in a high alpine environment at 11,700 feet! Truly off-grid, without electricity, running water, NO WiFi. Beautifully furnished with fabulous furniture and wonderful beds to sleep 8. Just bring a sleeping bag & pillow case! WINTER ACCESS: By ski/skin, snowshoe or snowmobile only. 2 miles and 1000 foot gain to cabin. Takes approximately 3 hours on rolling and steep terrain. SUMMER ACCESS: By high-clearance, 4x4 vehicle and requires low gears (rental SUV not recommended).

We are 10 Miles north of Leadville, 1 mile from Ski Cooper, 8 miles from Red Cliff, 20 miles from Vail. Our fully equipped 900 sq ft. solar powered cabin is very cozy with spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. We have hiking and biking access to the Colorado trail from the cabin in the summer, skiing right out the door in the winter. We have space for 2 adults & families with 2 adults & 1-2 kids. This space is not suitable for 4 adults. Pets considered. Contact owner first.
