Situated on a bush fringed, sunny section, this barn-style holiday home has the basic comforts and enjoys a pleasant outlook over the surrounding bush to the sea.  The house is a brief stroll to the calm, sandy estuary beach or walk a couple of minutes further to the stunning surf beach. Easy driving distance to beaches, bush walks, kayaking & the famous Puhoi pub. Or simply relax, enjoy the birdsong, views, sunsets, a coffee or wine on the deck, star-gazing. Well set up for self-catering with induction hob, oven, fridge/freezer, microwave. Cosy wood fire in winter. Hosts live nearby and are very happy to provide any help.

We are only 75mins drive north of Auckland, 10 mins off the number one highway. The cottage is built from beautiful untreated hardwoods set in a tranquil private spot, nestled on the edge of a regenerating native forest. The cottage is only a 2min walk down to the beautiful Kaipara Harbour. Our place is part of a 25 year old 300 acre organic permaculture farm, which we were instrumental in setting up as a working farm and village style subdivision.

Relax on the Kaipara Harbour

A lovely fully equipped modern cottage in a rural setting on the beautiful Kaipara Harbour (only 90 mins north of Auckland). Peaceful and private, you can lounge on the bean bags on the deck, or watch the tui as you soak in the bath. Native bush runs down to an estuary outside your floor to ceiling windows. Sheep, dogs, ducks and birdlife share the property with you as well as the occassional peacock harem.
