Cosy Shepherd’s Hut near NC500 with Sea Views

At only five miles from the popular John o Groats signpost, Jo and Karina would love to welcome you at one of three cozy self-catering glamping pods at The Crofter's Snug - lots of local area info on our website. Located at the top of Scotland you'll enjoy one of the best views in the area - even the locals are envious! One mile off the popular NC500 tourist route, our two pods and a Shepherd's Hut offer peace and quiet in an idyllic location with some amazing sunrises, sunsets and starry skies.

Crofter’s Cottage at 100 Midtown

100 Midtown is a three bedroom croft house with one bed room with double bed downstairs and two bedrooms upstairs each with a single bed and looks over the Kyle to Tongue with spectacular views of the beach and Ben Loyal. There is a spacious and private garden, the cottage is close to the beach and local shop. There is free WiFi, a tv/dvd player and fire stick. The cottage has a travel cot available and stair gates in situ. A washing machine and fridge freezer are fitted within the cottage.

The Byre - stone studio space, Talmine NC500/Beach

The Byre is a unique studio converted from a barn and is perfect for a peaceful break or romantic getaway! A comfortable hotel quality double mattress in self catering accommodation with stunning views of the sea and islands and within easy walk of a shop and beaches. A small but well equipped kitchenette with microwave, induction hob and small oven. Plenty of hot water. A woodburner and 2 heaters. Dogs welcome but 2 max due to restricted space. Great location as a base to explore.

Twin Bed Croft Cottage in Assynt

The Smithy (the original Blacksmith's workshop on the peninsula dating back to the 1840s) at the Smithy House in Stoer sits on our small croft with open views out towards the surrounding area. Open plan sitting room, twin beds, log burner and kitchen with dining area. Separate shower room. Off street parking. Outdoor seating area. Located on the stunning NC500 Assynt Coastal Route, so moments away from the stunning beaches of Stoer, Clachtoll, Achmelvich and Clashnessie.

Northern Lights is a former croft cottage in an outstanding location just off the North Coast 500. When you arrive, you will appreciate the ample private parking and electric vehicle charger. The attention to detail continues as you settle in for your stay, with everything designed to give you the best possible accommodation. Because we always try to exceed your expectations, you will love how fast the Wi-Fi is. Character, comfort, and connected when you need it.

The Wee Housie

A warm welcome, always, awaits you at our family ran apartment. There is a 2 ceramic hob rings with microwave oven, giving you the option to either eat out or have a cosy meal in. Ensuite bathroom, tv, double sofa bed and a single bed. Linen and towels provided. We are dog friendly but due to the small space this is at our discretion but please enquire prior to booking. We accommodate two people maximum with the choice of a sofa bed and/or single bed.

BERRISCUE HOUSE - ENTIRE COTTAGE - THURSO

Berriscue House is a beautiful, bespoke cottage - located in the centre of Thurso, hidden away from the world with a large walled garden and private entrance. Five minute walk from the beach. Everything you need for a cosy Scottish retreat! If booking the same day after 6pm please message as it may still be possible to book. If you require the extra bed in the living room, you must tell us in your initial message so we know to prepare this for you.

Croft house, Bettyhill, Sutherland

Our house in Bettyhill is central for touring across the Highlands of Scotland. The area is full things to see and do including, fishing on the River Naver, walking, surfing and cycling, with castles and historic places around. In summer you can enjoy the long summer evenings with daylight until after 11pm The house is located on the far North Coast of Scotland and is an ideal stop off on the NC 500 route.

Island View Glamping Pod

Island View Glamping Pods and our new pod Heilan Coo Pod offer a cosy stay for couples wishing to visit the Highlands of Scotland or travelling the world famous NC500 route. With spectacular views out to the islands at the entrance to the Kyle Of Tongue. The price is based on use of the king size bed ONLY MINIMUM 2 NIGHT STAY Check in time Strictly from 4pm Check out 11am
