My Shepherd's Farm Unique Cottage, Hidden Gem

Relax with the whole family on this peaceful working farm. Enjoy the farm animals and running stream in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains. Tour the Blue Ridge Parkway or Creeper Trail. Historic Wythe County, Wohlfahrt Theatre, Abingdon, Barter Theatre, Big Walker Lookout Shot Tower, Draper Mercantile and so much more. Get unplugged, no distracting internet. Fish in the pond or make smores at the firepit. Experience the farm with optional homegrown meals/tours. A little piece of heaven.

Ruby's Rest

NO CLEANING FEES. NO TO DO LISTS BEFORE CHECKING OUT. NO PET FEES. Cozy, private one room cottage (with bathroom), run by a loving, easy-going, non-judging family. Cottage measures 12' x 24' (total of 288sq. feet). Very relaxed environment. Flat rate of $50.00. UPDATE: Deck is now enclosed with old window panes. Super cozy. Has a sink with hot/old water, a hot plate, large toaster oven, and utensils. I am am still putting finishing touches on it, but available for use. Pictures soon.

The Hobbit House

The Hobbit House is a tiny house (15x11'); Full size bed, futon/couch, outdoor tub, shower, electric fireplace, patio, picnic table, fire ring, and outhouse with composting toilet. The patio overlooks a pond and is part of a 53 acre forested property in the Blue Ridge. WiFi is now included. Glamp in style! The main lodge is just up the driveway if you need to contact the host. The outdoor shower/tub is NOT fully enclosed or private, and may be turned off in a freeze. Nature lovers only!

Relax around the campfire, hike or bike the many trails, lounge on the beach with a good book, or cast your line to catch a big one! Enjoy the beautiful views of the Appalachian mountains while paddleboarding or kayaking Hungry Mother Lake. Don't forget to go shopping or sample the restaurants of America's Coolest Hometown! Whether visiting the beautiful mountains to bike or hike the Creeper Trail, sightseeing in the historical Abingdon or Bristol area, attending a game at E&H or just passing through to another destination, our goal is to provide a warm and welcoming home for your getaway. Resting on an acre of land and right off I 81 enjoy your stay in our cozy, country cottage.

The Bluebird and Finch Cottage

Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space looking out into the pasture and woodlands at deer passing through, cows looking in and other wildlife. And there really is quite a lot of bluebirds and finch to see in the spring and summer! Expect the coziness of the fireplace to wrap around you in the cool of the fall and snow of the winter. New construction. 20 minutes to Grayson Highlands, kayaking and Virginia Creeper bike trail also nearby!

Front porch and back deck. Playhouse for children. The surrounding acreage is rented to a hunter. There are many lovely hiking trails nearby.
