Heron Rock: Lakefront Cottage on Lake Chesdin

Enjoy peaceful lakefront living at Heron Rock Cottage, where you can stroll through the woods, swim or fish off the dock, paddle the lake in kayaks, or simply relax and enjoy the wildlife and beautiful sunsets. Situated on 6 acres in Dinwiddie County, this newly renovated cottage includes 2 bedrooms, full bath, full kitchen, living room with fireplace and private patio with dining area. Your stay includes full access to the grounds and dock and you are welcome to tie up a boat if you bring one.

Welcome to The Outpost! Our family home is the perfect halfway point between Central North Carolina and Richmond. We keep it simple: clean, comfortable, and easy to reach. Think of it as your personal midway station — a cozy place to recharge before continuing your journey up or down highway 95. With quick highway access, stress-free check-in, and all the basics you need, it’s not about being a destination packed with attractions, but a reliable stop that feels like home for the evening.

Rustic farmhouse-80 acres-Pond

Our newly renovated farmhouse that sits on 80 acres of land, overlooking two ponds that are fully stocked with fish for fishing. Our two story, open concept, house provides ample space for up to 9 people . Enjoy the downstairs with two living rooms, a full kitchen and two full bathrooms. The downstairs has two bedrooms (3 beds). The upstairs of the house is only opened when more than 5 guests are booked (additional fees apply). The upstairs has 2 additional bedrooms and a half bath.

Wells Cabin @Weldan Pond is a beautiful new space designed for couples who love to relax, enjoy the outdoors (hike, fish, trail bike, & more), & marvel over beautiful views. The Cottage has a full kitchen, a large king bedroom, a bright, window filled sitting area, and a new deck overlooking Upper Weldan Pond and acres of healthy, natural hardwood forest with nearly 4 miles of trails to explore. You'll also love just enjoying the deck and the beauty of the Virginia countryside.

"Lofty Cottage" Adorable 1-Bedroom Guest House

Enjoy this quaint Cozy Cottage with bedroom loft! This adorable 1-bedroom unique place has a style all its own. Built in the 1960’s behind the main house, it has floor to ceiling pine paneling, pine floors and fireplace. It has been recently remodeled with new tiled bathroom , newly remodeled kitchen and stainless steel appliances. A new Heating and Air unit was installed summer 2021. The pine paneling and 16 foot high ceilings gives it that "cottagey" feel.

Powhatan Resort provides accommodations with a restaurant, free private parking and a bar. The property is close to Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown, and 20 miles from Busch Gardens. It has an indoor and outdoor pool, hot tub, tennis, mini-golf, restaurant, snack bar, and a game room.
