We loved this cabin! We came to get away from it all and spend time as a family. The kids loved the hot tub and if they weren’t there, they were playing arcade games. We grabbed candy and popcorn from the candy store in town. Then went back to the cabin and watched a movie. Definitely will be going back.

Enjoyed are stay to go snowmobiling with the Family. Everyone was able to fit in one place which is hard to find. Host was friendly and easy to communicate with.

Awesome little cottage. Nice time of year to just hang out in the hot tub and sauna. The weather didn’t cooperate but it was still great

Beautiful view of the sunsets and sunrises. We enjoy paddle boating and kayaking in Lake Somo. Lou is a wonderful host that made our stay cozy, and comfy. We enjoyed the views at dinner time . Nicely remodeled cabin.

We got to celebrate Christmas and it was full of fun and great memories. The beautiful house and area made it even more magical! We had a few questions during our stay and host was very responsive even over the Holidays. Would definitely stay again!

I grew up visiting Sunset Lake as a kid and it was so wonderful to be back on the lake. I'd never stayed in any of the Sunset Lake Cabins before, but my partner and I were very happy with our stay. The cabin was perfect and we are already planning on coming back soon! 5/5

My friends and I had a wonderful stay! The interior decor made it feel even more like a cozy cabin, and the view of the lake was lovely.

Great week, perfect location for fishing, viewing colors, and the northern lights. Nice cozy cabin with all the amenities you need. The host was very responsive to any questions we had. Hidden gem.

Just as described. Plenty of space for 4 adults. Brad thought of every re: amenities & the little details (cookware, spices, soaps, etc). Great little place to escape on a beautiful lake. Thanks Brad for your hospitality.

We have stayed at many guest homes and this place was charming. Very clean-exactly what you could expect in northern Wisconsin. On a lovely lake, quiet. The home was extremely clean and very had many amenities that made it feel like a north woods experience,

The week we spent surrounded by nature and tranquility was restorative. Listening to the eagles, ducks, geese, and many other birds chatting while we sat inside with great views in every room or went kayaking, paddleboardinng, swimming off the swim platform, or just hung out on the deck or the pier kept us in awe of our surroundings every day and night. Walks along the road were spent admiring the trees and native plant life. It felt like home from the moment we arrived as we enjoyed all the comforts the house had to offer from a well-organized kitchen, roomy dining area, and a comfortable livingroom, as well as great bedrooms and baths, all tastefully decorated in a northwoods theme. The 5 of us had enough room to be together or apart. Tonya was instrumental in making our stay a perfect one through communicating with us prior to the trip and throughout the week by quickly aswering any queries we had. We would love to return next summer.

Tim and Roxanne were the nicest hosts we’ve ever dealt with and their place is truly spectacular. It was a privilege to stay there. It is beautiful, peaceful and such an idyllic setting! They also keep their place in tip top shape and have everything you could ever need available for you. Hammocks, boats, bikes… whatever you need. We’ve stayed at a ton of rentals up north as well as internationally, and none come close to staying with Tim and Roxanne at their place. Plus, the lake is pristine and private to the twenty some property owners that have a home on it. Great fishing, clear water and even some sandy spots. Oh, and Al Capone’s brother owned a house on this lake, so there’s a lot of cool history too. So glad we found this place…. Thanks Tim and Roxanne!

This is our second time staying at the property and loved it both times. Will be back again!

This house on lake Thompson exceeded our expectations! Dani and Chris have a beautiful property right on the lake, fully stocked with all the comforts of home. Playground and kayaks were a bonus and all the neighbors in the area were lovely! We hope to return to Rhinelander again soon!

Jeff’s place was amazing! Our family booked it for the weekend so we could go skiing. It was spacious, clean and the kids enjoyed the “arcade” area. I would definitely book again.

This was the second year we stayed here, and we were excited to return. The cabin is just beautiful, and was equipped with everything we needed - and more. It was such a comfortable and welcoming place to stay. The lake setting was perfect. Lovely lake, and yard, and so peaceful and private. Grocery store, pharmacy, and nice restaurants conveniently located in nearby Tomahawk. Highly recommend!!

We had a wonderful week. The cabin was beautiful and provided everything we needed for our large family. You can tell the owners take a great deal of pride in their home and providing a great experience for their clients. The kids/grandkids loved the many water toys (kayaks, paddle boat, lilly pad, etc.) that were provided for our use. The outside areas are just beautiful and we enjoyed a campfire each night during our stay. The cabin provided a number of different living areas and the grandkids especially loved the basement and the toys that were provided. Communication with the owner was incredible. He was so helpful with any questions/concerns we had and made our stay seamless. We loved everything about our stay and give it our highest recommendation.

This was our group’s second visit and it was just as good as the first. The lodge is comfortable and spacious, and the property is picturesque. It is a quiet and private location, but still convenient distance to gas and stores. We want for nothing while we’re there. Looking forward to hopefully coming back next year!

We stayed here just after Christmas for a snowmobiling trip. Unfortunately there wasn’t snow, but Amy and the property manager, Taylor, were very helpful and responsive with ideas of things for us to do in Eagle River. The location of the house is perfect for restaurants, bars, entertainment, and trails (had we been able to snowmobile). The house had lots of space for our group to hang out together but also have privacy. The only thing worth mentioning is the full bathroom in the basement with the jacuzzi tub is not a shower, so those of us in the two downstairs bedrooms that weren’t the en-suite had to borrow the bathrooms in the en suite. There is a tiny shower in the main floor we could have used as well, but we all opted for sharing. The fire pit by the lake was nice. The owners nicely provided dry firewood for our use. Overall, wonderful stay!

This property is great for families vacationing together and is very unique. There is a "rustic" wing to the house with a full kitchen, bath, two bedrooms, and a living room area with a smart tv. The other half is more modern with an expansive kitchen, living room, and master suite on the first floor. The basement area is a great place for the kiddos to hang out with a tv area and two bedrooms and one bath. Bird lake itself is beautiful and peaceful. Awesome swimming and the place comes with a paddle boat and row boat. Bird lake is not a busy lake. We rented a jet ski one day and took it out and pretty much had the whole lake to ourselves. Great place and would book again no doubt!

This was such a beautiful stay with an immaculate view and lake access! The home was so clean and had everything we needed for our group to have the perfect homey stay!

Hazel Hill was the perfect setting for a photographers retreat! The home itself is gorgeous, light-filled, and cozy - we loved the in-floor heating in the concrete floors. It made the home just so warm and inviting during the snowy winter weekend. The home was also impeccable and so clean when we arrived... And Brooke left us the cutest welcome basket with lots of goodies and treats! The property is stunning as well with gorgeous views all around. Our group enjoy the hike to the top of Timm's Hill (once we figured out how to get there!). The one thing we didn't get to take advantage of was the outdoor sauna - which is wood burning. No one in our group had experience starting a wood burning fire so we weren't successful at it going. There were plenty of other activities for us though, so it was fine! We highly recommend staying at Hazel Hill and would rent it again in a heartbeat!

I would recommend Beni's place for families or larger groups, especially if you want to do some fishing or boating. Great host and very nice home!

Fantastic family house! Thoughtfully provisioned and designed for families with kids. From a well appointed kitchen with quality utensils, nice🍷 glasses and kids water bottles to comfortable beds and high quality linens plus tons of family games and puzzles. It was a fantastic experience place to kick off the winter season.
