Looking for a holiday getaway or a place to stay near Mad River Mountain, look no further. Peaceful country side one room cabin off the beaten path. Queen size bed, pull out couch and blow up air mattress. Smart Tv with Disney, Netflix, and Prime Video. Coffee bar and mini fridge. Enjoy a campfire on the fire pit or cook on the outdoor charcoal grill. Access to swings, trampoline and slide for kids. Also a great place to stay if working nearby at one of the plants. Located on 66 acres of rolling farmland and wooded countryside, this restored, 19th century log cabin is rustic but not the least bit primitive. A massive stone fireplace makes relaxing in the winter cozy. Enjoy your morning coffee along with a beautiful view of Ohio farmland from the screened-in porch. Jump into the outdoor shower or hot tub after a day of hiking or shopping in nearby Yellow Springs. Centrally located, the Cabin is just 20 minutes from Dayton and 50 minutes from Columbus.

The Log Cabin in Mingo Valley

Relax and make yourself at home in our historic hand hewn pre 1820 log cabin. Enjoy your "little piece of paradise" in a private, secluded and wooded country property. The two story restored cabin has plenty of room for your family vacation with a full kitchen, living room, master bedroom, 1 1/2 baths and sleeps seven people. Enjoy the fresh country air while relaxing on one of the three porches, hiking the 23 acre woods, or taking the paddle boat across the two acre lake.

This historic structure was originally a 2-story log home built in 1813. The home was used as an Inn or tavern along the Old Federal Road leading from Columbus to Springfield. In 2020, the decision was made to disassemble the second floor of the original cabin and then reassemble it on a new foundation with walk-out basement. This rebuilt cabin overlooks Deer Creek and a 50 plus acre wetlands area. The property is 1 mile from I-70 and is only a 30-minute drive to Columbus, OH.

We are open for guests! The Cabin at Maple View is located a quarter mile off of the highway down a long twisting driveway. It is tucked back in the woods and away from it all. You notice the Amish craftsmanship as soon as you arrive. You are surrounded by 80 acres of manicured woods and a huge yard. The environment is welcoming. The atmosphere is warm. The treehouses-cabins rest on 10ft. posts. As you climb the stairs onto the lovely 16 foot deck you enter into a rustic and elegant space all your own. The room offers a wet bar, sink, refrigerator, microwave and coffee pot.
