Villa Jokubas The Jungle

Located 5 minutes from heritage town Abbeyleix in co. Laois is Villa Jokubas a log cabin village set on a hill overlooking surrounding countryside. All our cabins combine modern finishes and rustic county charms. Be treated with all modern luxuries inside and outside, enjoy expansive yard, covered patio areas with private modern hot tubs, "Kamado" BBQ grills, fully stocked bar with taps of our home brewed IPA beer. We charge €25 for hottub or sauna for one use. One Drink Included.

Cosy Loft in the Trees

This gorgeous little hut is tucked into the upper corner of a hay barn and has the cosy feel of a treehouse. Set in a peaceful rural spot overlooking open fields, it offers a real sense of escape. Although close to other buildings where we live, it is completely private. Access is via two short flights of sturdy steps leading to a balcony. Kilkenny city is a 20-minute drive away, but a car is essential as there is no public transport. An ideal place to retreat and unwind.

A delightfully converted early 18th century historic dwelling, Gasbrook House Annexe provides cosy, self-contained living nestled in a peaceful village just east of the Slieve Bloom Mountains. This comfortable spot is perfect for a relaxing getaway, romantic break, or well earned rest and is an ideal base for exploring all the midlands has to offer. Surrounded by beautiful nature reserves this cozy space is devoted to peace and relaxation and a haven for nature lovers.

Babes Cottage

Our cottage is nestled in the beautiful Slieve Blooms mountains. This cottage boasts a traditional thatched roof surrounding by fantastic countryside. The cottage features two cozy bedrooms with comfortable beds and soft linens. The fully equipped kitchen is perfect for cooking up hearty meals with fresh, locally-sourced ingredients. Warm up by the fireplace in the inviting living room, where you can curl up with a good book or watch a movie on the flat-screen TV.

Hawes Barn - 200 Year Old Cottage

Set within the Croc An Oir Estate (translated as Crock of Gold) and tucked away down a leafy boreen, this beautifully restored, converted stone barn offers a truly relaxing holiday where hospitality and a traditional Irish experience is offered in abundance. Croc an Oir is a romantic retreat for a couple, and traditional features include a cosy woodburner, a half door, arched windows and a delightful loft style bedroom. There is also a private courtyard and garden.

Located halfway between Portlaoise and Kilkenny, this is the ideal spot to stop and relax in the scenic countryside while touring the many local attractions. The fact that we are in The Midlands, makes it's the perfect location to visit other counties from, as everywhere is within only a few hours drive. “The Barn” is a beautifully restored 19th century building beside our Farm house, finely furnished for your comfort. Enjoy an Emperor size, bed dressed in luxury cottons. Although “The Barn” is private I'm always on hand. Nestled snugly on our farm at the end of a country lane, surrounded by gardens & lush countryside. Walk the towpaths of Borris, venture up Mt Leinster, enjoy the quaint pubs of Clonegal. Kilkenny City is a must.

Wren's Nest delightful off-grid nature cabin

Wren's Nest is a unique off grid retreat nestled among the trees at the back of our wild cottage garden. It is the ideal place to relax with a book and enjoy the many small birds and wild plants that share the space. It is a great base for walkers and cyclists to explore the surrounding pretty villages and beyond. What better way to spend an evening than to cook in the out door kitchen and dine under the stars.
