beautiful cottage with absolutely wonderful views! the animals were such a nice treat to see every morning - we especially loved the little barn cats that came to the door once or twice 🥰

A tranquil and peaceful stay in this spacious and well equipped cottage. We were well looked after by Jenny and co. and felt totally relaxed. Enjoyed our interactions with farm life, which included birthing a lamb, petting the donkies and seeing the newborn kittens, it made our stay very special. The house is well located for trips into Edinburgh and Glasgow, or to enjoy nearby countryside. You won't regret it!

We had a wonderful stay and Maureen was very helpful and responsive to messages. The cottage is representative of the pictures with lots of little nice touches. Thank you I’m sure we will be back soon.

I was actually surprised by the backdrop to this cottage, an idyllic village with stunning views all around. The cottage itself was spacious, cosy and well equipped. Hazel was absolutely amazing in her communication, especially when we turned up late due to some travel problems and had to be reminded of all the check in details late in the evening. Can not recommend enough.

Our stay was fantastic and the communication was amazing. We had 2 children & a dog with us and the attention to detail for things we might need was impeccable 😊 All of the little extras - easter eggs and activity packs for the children as we stayed easter weekend, are what makes a place stand apart. The house is beautiful and lots of space. I can't speak highly enough of our experience. Will definitely be back 😀

Beautiful house with friendly and responsive hosts who provided us space to have our planned yoga class on the Saturday. They also provided heaters for us as the house got a little chilly. The beds were comfy and bathrooms and kitchen really clean. The location is lovely and peaceful! The location is a bit tricky to find as the postcode isn’t very accurate but we found it with the help of the hosts. We enjoyed our stay, thank you Barrie for being helpful!

The cottage is lovely and in such a tranquil location. Accessible to both Edinburgh and Glasgow. It was immaculately clean and very cosy. Just what we needed.

Loved our stay here. Property is well laid out with great amenities. Really clear instructions on how to get there as it's a bit off the main road. Beautiful location.

Very nice cottage in sublime surroundings. We used it as base for trips to the west coast which probably was a bit of a stretch considering the winding road down the mountain :-)

This is a fabulous cottage in a beautiful location. Fiona and Scott were warm, welcoming and incredibly kind. The cottage has plenty of space (we are a family of 5 plus a Labrador)- lovely high ceilings, warm, cosy and comfortable. The woods in the grounds are fabulous, with the swing being very popular. Great walks from the cottage too. This is such a great place to stay- we’ll be back!

A beautiful location, perfect for wildlife spotting and relaxing. The local community were friendly and welcoming. It was the ideal base from which to explore the area with our children and family who live nearby. We visited Ayr beach, Calderglen, and Dumfries House, all of which were excellent. Cottage was well equipped with everything we needed and we were able to get a supermarket delivery direct to the door with all the supplies we needed. The children enjoyed the books, toys and games provided. Overall a great stay, and would recommend to anyone looking to visit this region of Scotland.

It was everything we had hoped for and much more! Peaceful countryside location yet walkable distance from the local shops and cafe. Beautiful apartment with everything we needed - really comfortable beds!! Our boys loved having the horses next door and spent as much time as they could camped in the window or in the garden to be as close as they could to them. Noticing this, Simone showed incredible hospitality and made their holiday by inviting them to feed the horses, twice….they’ve not shut up about it yet!!

A lovely place to stay with family for Easter weekend. Really easy to check in and the host made sure we had everything we needed. Easy access to Edinburgh via the park and ride. Would definitely recommend.

Absolutely fantastic stay in a beautiful home. Our family of five had plenty of space to spread out and we enjoyed the beautiful scenery, the wonderful village of Strathaven, and the great home. We very much appreciated the robes and slippers, which added to the coziness and comfort of the home. Naomi's suggestions for a local coffee shop and the best place to catch the train for Edinburgh were incredibly helpful. Our kids loved seeing the animals nearby (and especially enjoyed a visit from David the goat who Naomi brought down for us to pet). The house had everything we needed and was close to restaurants and supermarkets in the nearby village. It was a wonderful place to come back to after a day exploring all around Scotland. We highly recommend!

We quite loved staying at this place! The house is beautiful and big, the kitchen gorgeous, and the living room spacious and cozy! It was also quite clean, and if we ever do another trip around Edinburgh, we will definitely book this place again!
