Nature’s Nest

Unwind and immerse yourself in nature at this cozy cabin overlooking Timber Coulee Creek. Large living room windows and a spacious deck provide you with a bird’s eye view of the rippling river and many types of wild life. Deer amble through the property; eagles soar and keep an eagle eye on everything. Turkeys, squirrels, coons, and myriad of birds go about their business in this serene environment. Trout fishing is an excellent pastime for those who care to cast a line. Rest, at Nature’s Nest.

Driftless Region Cabin/ Stream and Sauna

Settle into a quaint farmhouse nestled in a valley in the rolling, forested hills of the Driftless Region. Start your day with a cup of local coffee on the front porch. Go on a long walk or bike ride, then return to the cottage to cook, play board games, listen the record collection or visit Viroqua (25 minutes) for a farm-to-table 5-star dinner, or check out local music. Build a warm fire outdoors/ warm up by the gas stove indoors, or go down to the stream for a sauna by the cool water creek.

The Spring Water Retreat -@MillCreekCabinsWI

After crossing a narrow path along the lake you will find the entrance to the Spring Water Retreat at Mill Creek Cabins. The remains of an old farmhouse now welcome our guests to a warm, secure, escape from the everyday. This secluded space is the perfect place to relax in the woods.​ With no TV and large windows looking out over the lake, the focus is on the outdoors. Despite the remote location, a high-speed internet connection is available to keep you connected throughout your stay. ​

Peeping frogs, singing birds, rustling trees, hooting owls, gurgling creek, howling coyotes: these sounds will surround you during a week here! Cabin is cozy, with an aesthetic we're calling supper-club-chic. The perfect place to read, relax, reconnect. Nestled in the heart of Wisconsin's Driftless area, a remote, lovely, nearly-wild kingdom, easy driving distance from Chicago and Madison. As of 2025, a resident beaver family are redesigning the creek/yard: you'll have a front row seat.

Parkside at the Grove Shack, dog friendly

Everything you need is here for a relaxing stay in the Driftless. Recent custom build with craftsman details, antique features and artistic flair. Wifi and TV available. No phone on site. Well behaved dogs are welcome. We ask you not leave your dog unattended unless you are confident they do not bark or misbehave in your absence. Walk to fish the Kickapoo River or put in a canoe (BYO). Well stocked kitchen with decent knives, cutting boards and cast iron. Limited baking supplies

Maple Ridge Guest Apartment

This apartment was added to the back of our detached garage about 10 years ago. Low or no VOC products were used throughout construction. Brand new appliances installed with an oven big enough to cook the biggest turkey I’ve ever dreamed of. Spectacular ridge top views and beautiful starry nights. Hiking and cross country ski trails on the property of about 75 acres. Pick hazelnuts in the fall, collect and boil your own maple sap in the spring and pick blueberries in the summer.

Sittin Pretty Tiny House nestled in Amish Paradise

Sittin Pretty Tiny House is perched up on Dach Ridge six miles out of Viroqua just off County NN offering lovely views across neighboring farm fields toward the western horizon. Surrounding woods with a walking trail give an intimate sense of the natural world. You are in the heart of Amish country and the goings and comings of their agrarian lives give a sense of another time. 1/4 mile walk down the road, at the nearest Amish neighbor, you can buy produce in season and eggs.

Squirrel Ridge Log Cabin

A cozy cabin nestled in the country side of southwest Wisconsin. This cabin is located on the corner of our 28 acre organic maple syrup farm. The Amish built log cabin is in a wooded area with its own driveway offering privacy for a perfect getaway! Comfortably sleeps 4 adults, which includes a queen bed in the master bedroom, 2 single beds in a loft area, & a queen size pullout sleeper in the main room. Centrally located in the Ocooch Area of WI for excellent trout fishing.

1 bedroom 1 bath with loft. Cozy home where you can see Paradise. This memorable place is anything but ordinary. Views for miles of the Mississippi River, bluff tops and you can soar with the Eagles. What a place to relax in the newly added hot tub while you enjoy the view in what is call "God's Country". This is promised to be a one of a kind view. One Bedroom with Kitchenette - Red Door

Our convenient in-town one-bedroom has recently been converted! One room has a queen bed, other room as a comfy fold out couch. It has a well-equipped kitchenette with a sink, microwave, apartment fridge/freezer, Kuerig coffee maker and more. It also has a full bath. This apartment is on Main Street and can be a bit noisy from the traffic during the day and in the morning. It is generally quieter at night but bring earplugs if this bothers you.

River Valley Cabin

Very private on-the-grid cabin overlooking the Kickapoo River. Kitchen & bath, dining room, one bedroom and futon in the large living room. TV and internet, laundry and cooking. Bring your own phone. Two additional cots provided. Stunning views for every season, a unique and colorful experience in nature any day of the year. The best hunting and fishing, canoeing and horse riding, nature trails, morels and foraging.
