Bruny Island Hideaway

Only if I can show you how to be happy with little. It is simple and minimalistic, it is green and sustainable, it is so wild that you feel a million miles away from civilisation. Surrounded by 99 acres of conservation forest, you will find abundant wildlife. You can hear the birds during the day and wallabies at night. Eagles soar in the sky. Try stargazing and spot the Aurora. I enjoy the tranquillity and solitude of the place, but it's also special to share with company. 4WD is recommended.

Apple Crate Shack

The house is a spacious architect-designed one-bedroom studio: great for couples enjoying a weekend away or solo adventurers looking to explore the area. Watch the sunrise over the Channel, chill out on the deck in the afternoon sun, then finish the day with a hot outdoor shower under the stars (indoor shower also available). Located in Flowerpot, my place sits between a heritage apple orchard and an organic vineyard, 40 mins from Hobart. The house is NOT on Bruny Island but 10mins drive away

We want to offer visitors to Hobart a unique & luxurious accommodation experience, which connects modern design with its rugged, bush environment. Located in West Hobart, we are a short 8 minute drive to the Salamanca water front. Our 2 story house is nestled in a private bushy street, with amazing views of the Derwent River, South Hobart, Sandy Bay & beyond. The home is spacious and private, yet surrounded by (harmless) local wildlife. You will see many wallabies grazing on the property.

Lune, lunawuni/Bruny Island

Lune, lunawuni is a secluded, eco-friendly cabin set on 2 acres of private waterfront bushland. Overlooking the d’Entrecasteaux Channel, with views of Hartz Mountains National Park, and with direct access to the waters edge of Sheepwash Bay, the property offers guests an intimate, nature immersed escape, with comfort in mind. Lune owners Sarah and Olly acknowledge the Nununi people, Traditional Owners of the land on which the cabin stands, and pay respects to Elders past and present.

The Lookout Cabin

The lookout cabin is an architect designed cabin for two, nestled high on Bruny's east coast sea cliffs. Enjoy expansive water views over Storm Bay, Tasman Island and the Southern Ocean. Wake to the sounds of the local birdlife and revel in the majesty of resident sea eagles. Minimalism, simplicity and luxury combine to create an experience you will always remember, whether it be a romantic getaway, a relaxing retreat to recharge or a base to explore the magnificence of Bruny Island.

Mandala a dreamscape where peace and privacy reign

Privately rented, secluded 4-bedroom house perfect for families and groups of up to 11 guests. Pet-friendly. Located in Alonnah, a 5-minute drive to restaurants, and opposite a walking track leading to Alonnah beach. The house features 8 beds, a spacious living area with a woodfire heater, dining area, and a fully equipped kitchen with basic cooking essentials. Enjoy the entire property, including native Australian bushland, a games shed, private garden, and cubby house and more.

Casita Rica offers a cosy 1 bedroom retreat with spectacular views of the Huon River and beyond, located a 30min drive south of Huonville. 15-20 mins from local towns of Geeveston and Dover. Easy day trips to Cockle Creek, the Tahune, Hobart, Bruny Island and Hartz Mountain National Park, Idyllic beaches, bushwalking, plentiful local produce and weekend Markets. Or kick back in front of our fire, while playing cards, board games or just reading from our library of books.

After arriving on popular Bruny island it is a joy to leave the crowd behind as you wind down the private road through towering trees to the shores of sheepwash bay. Designed with couples in mind the shack is the perfect place for relaxation and romance. Set on the waterfront, in a national park like setting it offers an intimate retreat to call home during your exploration of Bruny Island. Home to the bruny baker you will awaken to the smell of sourdough baking .

Private, self-contained cabin in the Huon Valley close to Cygnet (7 min), Bruny Island & Hobart (50 min), Hartz Mountain National Park & World Heritage Area (1 hr). Bush surrounds, stunning views of the Huon River & Hartz mountains. Beaches, bushwalking, markets, relax by the fire or on the deck & admire the view. Markets every week in the valley, including the Cygnet market 1st & 3rd Sunday of the mth, Willie Smith's Artisan & Farmers Market every Saturday, 10-1.
