We live in the main house and are discreet and respectful hosts; we usually work in our studios, so the atmosphere is quiet and peaceful. The King-size bed, with a high-end mattress and fresh linens, invites you to enjoy a deep and restful sleep, while the hammock inside the room is perfect for reading, taking a nap, or simply enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. Outside, you’ll find a garden surrounded by nature, sun loungers, a swimming pool, and a private outdoor dining area, ideal for leisurely breakfasts, dinners, or long, relaxed meals. If you would like a hammock in the garden, we can set one up especially for you. The bathroom features premium amenities selected to spa standards, with rosemary and mint scents, designed to turn everyday moments into a small ritual of well-being. You’ll also have a fully equipped kitchen where you can prepare your own meals at your own pace. You’ll always find coffee from southern Mexico, tea, sugar, and essential basics such as salt, pepper, olive oil, and cooking oil. If you need an additional spice, we’ll be happy to provide it. For exploring the surrounding area, bicycles are available for you to use. One of the great advantages of Bungalow Zen is its location: you’re less than 20 minutes from the sea, where you can enjoy spectacular sunsets. Along the way, you’ll often spot flamingos, particularly at certain times of the year. We’re also close to the ruins, beautiful haciendas, and several cenotes, while downtown Mérida is easy and convenient to reach. Before your arrival, you’ll receive a private guide I personally created as a local resident, featuring a carefully curated selection of memorable restaurants, authentic experiences, and special places that will allow you to discover Yucatán beyond the usual tourist routes. To fully enjoy Bungalow Zen and move freely around the area, we recommend having a car. It will be a pleasure to welcome you and share this little corner of Yucatán with you, where nature, privacy, and comfort come together. ✨
