Welcome to your cozy cottage in the bucolic Hudson Valley. Only 90 mi. north of NYC. We welcome small dogs, under 25 lbs. with prior host approval. Sorry, NO CATS. Enjoy biking, hiking, skiing, local culture or just relaxing. 1 mile outside a charming village in farm and horse country, your cottage has a full kitchen/LR, 2 BRS (1 queen, 1 full), bathrm, washer/dryer, deck, patio & yard. Close to colleges, dining & activities. We hope that you will love this corner of the world as much as we do.

The Red Country Cottage

Perfect getaway in this countryside cottage nestled in nature but walking distance to town center. Spend some relaxing time watching the creak run by, walk or bike (provided/bring own) on the 26mi flat scenic Harlem Valley Rail Trail from the cottage. Enjoy the evening sitting by the fire/comfortable patio. Visit the 60’s themed movie theater and restaurant walking distance, near by brewery/winery/cafe/restaurants, wedding venues, Lime Rock Racing, skiing. Direct train to Wassaic from MetroNorth

Take a canoe across a lily pad dotted lake to your own private island paradise. You will never find a magical space like this so close! The entire island is yours to enjoy and has plenty of outdoor spaces including a propane grill, hammocks and plenty of seating areas. The inside a humble aesthetic with wood paneling and charm.

Our home has 3 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, sleeps 9, a spiral staircase into a kids loft, a media room with fold-out bed, hot tub, BBQ grill, firepit, large lawn, parking for up to 4 cars, a high-grade HEPA air purifier, and more.

The area is a prime location, as it offers some of the most stunning and scenic hikes & drives in the country. Only a 10 minute drive from Kent, New Milford or Pawling.

Nestled in the picturesque hamlet, surrounded by horse farms and rolling hills, this charming cottage offers a serene escape into nature. A secluded back deck invites you to unwind amidst a wild hill garden that spills onto it. Stone steps lead up to a peaceful, leveled lawn under towering trees. The area is great for hikes, strolls or bicycling. Its geographically central too but you may not want to leave. Expect an immersive natural experience at this unusual upstate retreat.

You can visit the town which it has a small cinema, and Rail trail for walking or biking, and it has many restaurants nearby. This house includes a living room, kitchen, 4 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, deck, and a big backyard. You can also do BBQ s outside.
