Being less than 15 minutes' drive from the Peak District, access is ideal for outdoor pursuits.

There is plenty of dedicated parking, we provide visitor parking permits so you can park right outside. Tea, coffee, milk and bread are provided for you as well as a locally sourced breakfast hamper. The property is walkable to the bus and tram stops, as well as to the well loved Rivelin valley.

Walk to Chatsworth House (3 miles) across the fields following the River Derwent. Set in 9 acres of peaceful landscaped gardens with wonderful birdlife - but only a few miles from the market town of Bakewell. Plenty of great walks from the house plus all year round indoor heated pool shared with Woodside Cottage - also at the same location.

An outdoor enthusiast's paradise with walks from the doorstep, cycling, climbing and swimming in the famous Hathersage lido. Beautiful country walks and several pubs on the doorstep, or a short drive to climbing at Stanage, and Bamford edges. For cyclists, Charlesworth’s is close to ‘Le Tour’ routes. Chatsworth House, Buxton, snooker at the Crucible, and the Tramlines Festival are all easily reached. Families, contractors and dogs are very welcome in this light and spacious cottage.
