Fjörður 1

The house, „Fjörður" was build in 1906 and has been in the same familiy since then. Fjörður, which is appr. 140 m2, is on 2 floors and comes with a big garden. The main floor consists of 2 livingrooms (one of them has a 120 cm bed), fully equipped kitchen with a dinner table, 1 bathroom with a shower, and a loundry room. The upper floor consists of 4 bedrooms, each with 2 beds, there is also 2 extra mattresses. Please note the house is very old. The stair is very steep.

Beautiful, warm and cozy cottage with beds for up to 4 people. It's located in the countryside 18 km from the town Egilsstaðir on road 931. It's on the south side of the lake on the way to Hallormsstaður the biggest forest in Iceland. The next grocery store is in Egilsstaðir. Good paved road, passable all the year. Quiet, peaceful and beautiful landscape, nice hiking trails down to the lake or up to the hills, good place to see the northern lights in wintertime.

Ábót Riverside Cottage

Ábót is a beautiful cottage located 8 km from Egilsstadir, East Iceland. It sits on the banks of Rangá river (where guests can fish for free). The cottage has sleeping facilites for five people. Ideal for families or groups. Please note that the barbecue is only for summer use from May - September.
