The Adorable A is in Salida proper with large off street private driveway parking for 2+ vehicles/trailers. Walk to downtown Salida 1/2 mile. Our local hiking/bike trails can be accessed right from the home. Monarch 25 mins. 360 views of Sangre de Cristo & Collegiate peaks. Yard is FULL FENCED and home is pet friendly. The Historic Ranch House

We have intentionally tried to preserve as much of the ranch house as possible while still updating the house to today’s standards. The most notable piece of history is the Monarch cook stove in the kitchen, the doorways and doors that are not as tall as today’s standards, the original wood floor in the master bedroom and original moulding around some of the doors. The house is a 3-bedroom, 1-bath house with all the amenities from home. We hope you enjoy our little piece of ranch history!

Town Hut - Cozy haven on BVs mtn side, EV charging

We welcome you to stay in our guest house: A renewed log cabin on three acres at BV's western edge. This quiet, in-town location is a good base for Arkansas Valley activities. A few miles east of us is Cottonwood Pass with hot springs, hiking, snowshoeing, etc. Or, bike or walk a mile to the east for restaurants and shopping, the Arkansas River and Fourmile trail complex beyond. Note: There are many pet-friendly options nearby, but we do our best to provide an allergen-free studio for guests.

Our place is a 10-min walk to the hot springs swimming pool and close to downtown Salida and the bike path. You’ll love our open house with its quiet neighborhood, pastoral setting and beautiful views of the Collegiate Mountains. Just 30 minute drive to Monarch ski area. We do have a no pet policy at our home. There is a nice shaded area in our back yard and a large deck with a BBQ. Come enjoy peace and quite in our modern chalet at the base of one of Colorado’s most majestic 14ers! 13min - Downtown Buena Vista 31 min - Salida 46min - Monarch Mountain 49min - Leadville Selah Chalet is a perfect alternative for anyone attending a wedding at Mt. We do not have Wi-Fi, so come expecting to unplug. We have a landline if you need to communicate with anyone.
