Peaceful and very relaxed neighbours, that offer options for outdoor sports. 5 min walk on a lovely street leads to the sea : white dune, pedestrian roads and hiking trails. 5 min walk in the other direction leads to Rimi and Top grocery stores and the train station. 10 min walk to the local market every Friday.

Located in the neighbourhood, where all the city life is just a 5-10 minutes walk away and at the same time, it does not feel as city at all as the forest and river walk is just around the corner. I am glad to share it with likeminded travellers and I will be glad to share all those little tips and tricks about places in Cesis, worthwhile to experience - from nature spots to cosy pubs :-)

Cosy holiday house in forest

Cozy holiday house LIELMEŽI located in quiet nature 60km from Riga. Great place to enjoy silence and nature far away from city noises. House has two levels. On the ground floor there is cosy living room with fireplace, kitchen, bathroom and sauna. On the second floor there are 3 bedrooms, a small hall with a balcony and toilet. Each bedroom has two single beds that can be transformed into a double bed. Or alternatively - a double bed in each bedroom can be transformed into 2 single beds.

There is also an electric sauna and terrace that opens up to a meadow that is being naturally rewilded into a forest. A tiny cabin surrounded by forest, located approximately 44 km away from the border of Riga city. Cuckoo the cabin sits next to a pond, where you can have a swim right away, but if you want to enjoy the seaside - it’s 2 km from the cabin - have a 25 minute walk (recommended) or take the car if feeling lazy. This is your perfect spot for a peaceful getaway!

Wonderful little cabin where to spend cozy nights viewing sunset. Next to the cabin is a nice and clean beach, where You can go fishing, swim or do ohter watersports. Nearby forests are rich in berries and mushrooms. Cabin has a small kitchen, toilet, shower- everything you need for also a longer stay. Visit Võrtsjärv.
