"Gardenhead" Cottage Turangi

The cottage is located on a quiet leafy street in Turangi. Whether you’re holidaying or here on business you’ll find the cottage cosy and comfy. It is centrally located only 40 minutes drive from Taupo and in the other direction Tongariro National Park, home to a plethora of hiking trails and Whakapapa Ski Area. A swimming beach is 5 minutes drive away near the Turangi Yacht Club. With 30 years’ experience, your host Jim, is a fishing guide and can offer fly fishing casting tuition if desired.

Shannon Cottage (summer)

Comfortable cosy cottage beside Mt Ruapehu. Ideal for bikers, Tongariro Crossing hikers or photographers exploring the local scenery. Independent so you can come and go at will. Full kitchen (though basic with retro fridge and no dishwasher), TV, DVDs and Chromecast, unlimited wifi, laundry, heating & aircon. One double room and one room with 2 singles (that can push together), plus a couch bed in the living room and a travel cot. From mid-May to Oct book 'Shannon Cottage (winter)' instead.

Lake view B&B Studio

Our warm and sunny Lake view studio is in a garden setting located adjacent to our Lake front residence. Off street parking, direct access to the Lake. Small kitchen with microwave, coffee machine, fridge, toasted sandwich maker, Weber BBQ, Pizza cooker, air fryer. You have your our own private en-suite. Super King size bed, Leather couch, dining table. Heat pump for Summer cooling or heating during the Winter months. Complementary continental breakfast is left in your room. Free view TV

The Annex

Relax in a quiet, rural setting minutes from Ohakune town. This cosy studio apartment forms part of the shed, 50m from our family home. It features bespoke queen bed, with single bunk above and trundle below. Perfect for two, but equally suited to a small family. Not suitable for 4 adults. There are huge windows to let in the light and a heat pump to stay warm in winter. Set on a lifestyle block with wide open spaces, stunning night sky, great mountain views and a playground for the kids.

Views over Whakaipo Bay

Our home sits high on a hill with amazing views over Lake Taupo and the surrounding countryside. The two bedroom cottage has a separate lounge area with a well stocked kitchenette, heat pump and large deck plus a private patio. Just down the hill is Whakaipo Bay recreational area with calm swimming waters and access to the W2K track. Our home is perfect for anyone who is looking for a rural outlook only minutes from town. It is the perfect place to sit back, relax and enjoy the view!

Welcome to our little part of paradise, fully self contained cosy cottage, with off street parking, 5 minutes walk to the local marina and lake, stopping off for brekkie or lunch at the local cafe. For those fisherpeople you will be 10 to 20 minutes drive from world class trout/fly fishing spots. Turangi is 10 minutes drive south, with great cafes and restaurants, 40 minutes to Mt Ruapehu for fabulous skiing and the Sky Waka. Turangi is the hub for the adventure tourism activities.

Relax with the family or have a couples retreat at this beautiful place to stay. Enjoy the breathtaking views of Lake Taupo and Mount Ruapahu. Whether you have been up the mountain and want a hot soak in the spa, or in summer swimming down at our beautiful Te Hapua bay. Few friendly farm animals amongst the orchard and a private home gym. Guest house neighbouring the main house with plenty of privacy. Plenty to see and do just 50 minutes to the ski field and 30 minutes to Turangi.

Salt, pepper, serviettes, hand towels provided. Separate bathroom with shower and toilet. Outside seating area to enjoy the semi-rural setting. Off street parking with designated parking area. Large enough for car and trailer. Lock up for bicycles on request. Extra towels for swimming

Tucked away in a very private tranquil setting only 9km from Taupo is our 1 bedroom guesthouse with separate kitchen area, lounge and bathroom. Surrounding the cottage is an expansive deck where you can take in the stunning country garden or just sit back and listen to the silence. Plenty of parking. WIFI available - not fibre, but get 15-20mbps. Sometimes WIFI is erractic for reasons unknown. Sorry no pets.
