The Writer's Cottage at Shore Hall is a quintessential country cottage nestled into 22 acres of bucolic English countryside with a shared outdoor heated pool and tennis court. Easily accessible to London and airports, the tranquility of our grounds give our guests a peaceful retreat like no other. Boasting its historic clocktower, the Writer's Cottage includes a comfortable sitting room, spacious open-plan kitchen and dining area, and three bedrooms.

The Hayloft. Self contained Accommodation

Enjoy a stay in our beautiful converted Hayloft. Entrance is at ground level through your storage area and boot room. A short, steep wooden staircase leads to the rooms above with their wonderful beams and vaulted ceilings. With views over the village green, and its own private little walled garden, The Hayloft provides the perfect place to unwind. The beautiful Essex and Suffolk countryside is on your doorstep, with its many historic towns, villages, pubs and footpaths for you to explore.

Nestled in a small private glade next to a brook with views over the meadow, and countryside beyond, an abundance of wildlife all around a great place to get away from it all. Upstairs are a double and single bedroom, and a bathroom with separate bath and power shower.

Fresh Pizza menu available, and wine or Prosecco for guests staying on a Friday or Saturday night.
