Take a step back in time. Rural America. Before fast food chains, and even before Walmart... Surrounded by mountains and located just a stones throw away (1/4 mile) from Hatfield McCoy's trail head Warrior and many outlaw trails. Enjoy High Rocks and Wilmore Dam, or perhaps a day at Berwind Lake trout fishing, or hiking. Easy access to restaurants, gas, and grocery store. We are an ATV friendly town and house is located in a friendly Quiet neighborhood with plenty of parking.

Located approximately 6 minutes to War, WV and HMT trailhead. A Short, nice ride to the Wilmore Dam, and to High Rocks. NEW ADDITIONAL PARKING FOR LARGE TRAILERS across the street from the Cottage. In addition to approximately 50 ft. in front, 40 ft. in back, 30 ft. on the side of the cottage. SEE PARKING PHOTOS. We are on Rt 16, part of the ”Head of the Dragon” Motorcycle Riding Route in Caretta, WV. You will have easy on/off access to “Warrior Trail” from Caretta or War.

Keep it simple at this peaceful and centrally-located place. Dad's Place is located 1/2 mile from Clinch Valley Medical Center and right on the Spearhead Jawbone Trailhead, hit the trails when you leave the driveway for hours of riding fun, 1/2 mile to restaurants, shopping and more, 10 minute drive to Broadway Cinema and Walmart. Easily accessible from 4 lane highway. Dad's place sleeps 4 with 1 full size bed and a pull out sleeper sofa, 40 in smart TV in main living area.

We are the perfect place to visit your children at E&H, your weddings at the beautiful E & H Chapel, or enjoy our beautiful mountains.

Whether visiting the beautiful mountains to bike or hike the Creeper Trail, sightseeing in the historical Abingdon or Bristol area, attending a game at E&H or just passing through to another destination, our goal is to provide a warm and welcoming home for your getaway. Resting on an acre of land and right off I 81 enjoy your stay in our cozy, country cottage.

You will relax and reconnect in this beautiful valley nestled in the Southwest Virginia mountains. Sit on the porch and soak up those mountain views. Relax in the hot tub and count the stars. Reconnect with your spouse as you unplug from the hustle and bustle. Rest, laugh, enjoy! The cabin is located on a working family farm. You can purchase beef, pork, and chicken to cook while you’re here or bring a cooler and take some home.
