A small but special little place tucked neatly between rolling hills. Kawakawa Hut provides a simple but comfy getaway for two in a beautiful countryside. Close by lies the vegetable garden, and friendly cows graze just over the fence. Further out over surrounding farmland you can see Tongariros snow capped mountains in the distance, so sit back and enjoy. Lake Taupo Water View Tongariro & Whakapapa Skiing

This treetops lakeview retreat is located on the South Western side of Lake Taupo. Tongariro Crossing, Mt Ruapehu Skifield, Turangi Adventure Tourism, hotpools, great bush walks and trout fishing are all within close proximity. Admire lake views and listen to birdsong from the treetops. Enjoy barista style coffee, grab a book and simply relax and enjoy the views from the expansive deck. At night, why not barbecue with drinks on the deck or in the winter, enjoy the ambience of the warm fire!

Stunning Lake Retreat

This stylish and unique retreat space sets the stage for a memorable trip to a beautiful part of Lake Taupo. A stand alone spacious modern room with ensuite, separate from the main house with a stunning view of the lake. We are a short walk to the lake for swims or use our kayaks. We are surrounded by gorgeous nature walks. You may wish to treat yourself to a relaxing massage, or book in for boating excursions & water-sports, $150 for first hour, $100 per hour thereafter. A modern studio style self-contained unit on the ground floor of our family home in Turangi. A queen-sized bed in the main room. Small kitchenette with crockery & cutlery supplied, small fridge, microwave, electric frying pan, Freeview Smart TV and Wifi. Modern private bathroom. An additional small bedroom with a single bed is perfect for a 3rd guest or more space to spread out. Close to major attractions of the area and ideal to access the Tongariro Alpine Crossing. Private access to unit.

Puka Lodge (Front Dwelling)

Puka Lodge(Front Dwelling) is a cosy 3-bedroom Lockwood home in peaceful Pukawa Bay, a short walk to Lake Taupō and the boat ramp. Sleeps 8, perfect for families, groups, fishing/ski trips or getaways. Enjoy a warm fireplace in winter, full kitchen, and boat parking. 50 mins to Tongariro National Park and close to Tokaanu Hot Pools and Oreti Timeshare Wedding Venue. Relax, unwind, and explore this ideal year-round lake escape. Puka Lodge (Rear Dwelling) can also be booked for larger groups.

The two bedroom cottage has a separate lounge area with a well stocked kitchenette, heat pump and large deck plus a private patio. Just down the hill is Whakaipo Bay recreational area with calm swimming waters and access to the W2K track. Our home is perfect for anyone who is looking for a rural outlook only minutes from town. It is the perfect place to sit back, relax and enjoy the view!

Our modern home is 15 minutes from Taupō yet feels like a private hideaway. Quiet and secluded, it looks out to Lake Taupō and Mount Ruapehu, with stunning sunsets. Ideal year-round, it has outdoor areas with BBQ, large windows and a double-sided fireplace. Whakaipo Bay is 5 minutes away for swimming or walking, with plenty of bush tracks nearby. Not suitable for children. Hairdryer, toiletries and iron not provided (sorry guests keep taking them and it’s to hard to constantly replace).
