Hawthorne Hobbit Hole: special Portland experience

Fantastic little place that's a world away and yet right by the action; very accessible to bus lines and easy to find. We loved being able to walk around, and the height of the ceilings was not a problem at all. My partner is 6'3" and he said it was really cozy and comfortable. We could curl up in the dining room with a book and tea kettle on after walking for hours downtown one day, and it was so lovely to meet the dogs Velma and Moo. The place was bigger than we expected, bed was comfortable (almost too soft! My partner tends to create a divet in the middle that I fall into), and overall relaxing. Our hosts offered local recommendations that were fantastic and we didn't have a problem getting anywhere with public transport or rideshare. Thanks so much for your hospitality!

First this was the most amazing place absolutely just as described Host was the best very responsive and understanding ( he knows 😂) I would book this place 1000 times over The windows by the bed are amazing The shower is impressive You can tell there was a lot of hard personal work done into this place His YouTube video was very informative I actually watched it couple times to find out how to work certain remotes And the BED… will just leave it there… must book to find out for yourself 🥰🥰

Our stay with Denny and Prince William was again a wonderful experience. We love the clean, organized, restful environment. The bed is huge and super comfortable; we slept so well. The washer and dryer was a much appreciated bonus. This has become one of our favorite Airbnbs as we visit family in Gresham. We plan to return - did I mention the absolutely beautiful backyard!

Zoe’s place was spacious and comfortable. Great location with restaurants, shopping, and grocery stores nearby. She was very responsive and helpful during our stay. The office room was a gem since I work from home and I was able to get a lot of work done. We highly recommend staying here!

Wow, what a beautiful experience! This is truly the most gorgeous Airbnb I have ever been to. My best friend and I stayed for one night and we are already regretting not booking for longer. The hosts are absolutely incredible and made our stay so cozy. We truly felt at home from start to finish. We were instantly welcomed and that was refreshing. The cows were so special and we loved getting to feed them in the morning. The room was GORGEOUS, beds were cozy and amenities galore. There is truly no other place you should book. You will want to experience this incredible place yourself. Stay awhile - you won’t regret it.

Great little spot for a solo traveler in the culley neighborhood. short walk or bus ride to 42nd where you'll find all sorts of treasures. Very comfertable to stay in. I would recommend for those who like to be emersed in a neighborhood and travel solo.

I had a wonderful time in this property. It was such a lovely home.The host was extremely responsive and helpful. The neighbourhood was safe and a 5 minute walk to Main Street and the local swimming pool. I highly reccomend.

I am a repeat customer. I have stayed at Mindee’s quite few times. The room has a great vibe to it, Mindee has a knack for decorating. It is very comfortable and well appointed. I always look forward to staying here when I am in town. Mindee is very gregarious and helpful if you have any questions or concerns. I whole heartedly recommend this BnB.

Erica and her husband were very hospitable and respectful of our privacy, but also happy to chat. The whole place was super clean and everything we needed was easy to access. Also, their puggle Ollie and their cat Serotonin (very fitting) were so sweet. Ollie is a snuggler if you'll let him. We hated saying goodbye!

The barn aesthetic is modern, cozy and has beautiful attention to details. The art will be appreciated as well as Susan’s own pottery pieces in the kitchen. Susan was a wonderful host very response and answered any questions I had quickly! The neighborhood felt safe and had restaurants close by! We wish we could have stayed longer! Absolutely loved our stay, Annette was a wonderful host and her home was perfect for us to spend quality time with family! Beautiful scenery and close to a very cute quaint town of North Plains with an excellent public library. Don’t pass up this place and don’t worry about no WiFi, our cell phones still worked no problem. Look forward to booking here again!

We had a nice stay. The hosts were responsive to our questions and needs. The place was clean and near where we needed to be. The home was built in the late 1800s so had older home charm without older home dinginess. It had all the right modern amenities and is nicely decorated. The home had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay.
